I am so glad that the show keeps showcasing how fine LXY is. He simply overshadows everyone else, except maybe ZHHZ. If the real YCW keeps showing up in flashbacks, I am just going to ship SZ with Jiang Ge haha...
Since we know Jiang Ge is the SML, he's not going to end up with SZ so I wonder if he will end up with Bai Xiao Sheng in the end.

We share similar opinions about JJY :) so I am glad that I could express my opinions a little here.
You're right; most of the commentators here do feel like they are JJY fans. I have seen some putting down other commentators because they said something negative about JJY.
I am here because of LXY and so far, the show is worth watching for me because of him. The story is pretty good but the cases in between are boring.

The opening and ending OSTs are great, I like the one by Zhou Shen a lot...

I hope that you get to write and perhaps even more widely influence the way we think about social perceptions and messages!

I know outer beauty is subjective and I guess for me, I don't find JJY that gorgeous. She looks sickly and her makeup simply emphasizes her sunken look. That's part of the reason I was never ever able to finish her dramas because her appearance was not attractive to me. I'll stop here for now before I get hate comments for putting her looks down ;D

Up to ep 8 now, and so far so good. I hope that they will stop with the flashbacks soon since I will keep wishing that ZHHZ was the FL if she keeps popping up. Haha!

That is another compelling storyline! I would have rated that kind of show highly for its creativity, You should be a writer (if you are not already one)

So true. Even this show mentioned "pursuing the beauty of slimness" and enduring to achieve the "perfect body". Wasted opportunity for sure!

That is such a good point! I was really rooting for the first YCW because despite her scar, she was confident and plucky. Plus the ML adored her and emphasized inner beauty. Together they were already solving cases and doing good.

ZHHZ completely overshadowed JJY for me which is a shame. I am still enjoying the show but not completely enamored by it. Had they followed the storyline you proposed, I think it would have been such a unique and amazing plot!

Same here! I know it is unreasonable but I find myself getting annoyed at the FL because she's constantly sabotaging the ML

Stopping after ep 6 since comments said that ep 7 is a cliffhanger :D

ZHHZ, who played the original Yang Cai Wei, has more of a FL presence and to me, she acted better. She seemed to have better chemistry with the ML, too, even though her screentime was limited.

The story is good and I hope this is the one to get me out of my drama drought.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help that the ZHHZ, who played the original Yang Cai Wei, is a better actress and has more of a FL presence. I also don't understand why JJY's makeup artist consistently makes her look sickly. Maybe she naturally has dark circles, but her makeup does not help.

Totally here for Liu Xue Yi. I was never able to finish any of Ju Jing Yi's dramas but as always, I will give any drama and actor another chance. Based on comments, it may be the first of her dramas that I can finish, especially with LXY in it.

I remember now why I put this on hold when it was first airing. None of the female characters were that likable including the FL. At least her character development did happen and I I was able to enjoy the main couple being together. I just wish that the FL character was written better. She just avoids everything even in the end, instead of properly confronting things.

I do like the actors playing the leads though. YKS and SJH had great chemistry together and they are not shy about the skinship. I love the sexy mature flirting. Great OST too,

I agree with most that this show started off strong and sorts of dragged in the middle and the last couple of episodes were ok. I much rather them stick to the rom com tone and give us more happy scenes instead of squeezing in the thriller bit. I sort of skimmed through the last bit because of spoilers. That way I can end the show on a good note 😁

Ultimately I did enjoy this show, particularly for the leads.

My only regret is not watching this sooner! Would have enjoyed commenting with the others while it aired. Highly highly recommend!

Same here. I was enjoying it until the plot got tedious and cliched. Characters that I liked became annoying. Definitely going to wait and watch it all at once to get it over with.
