Yes, eps 20 & 21 were good ones - all the double-crossing and playing one against the other...
- Finally, the Han siblings figured things out! I'm surprised that Anle has not realized that Hanye now knows. He's hinting so hard, lol - Anle shows a little ruthlessness playing the Gu son against his father. Brilliant!
One of the rare shows that finished strong for me! Love the twist in the final episode!
Completely worth the time watching and waiting for the next episodes. Kudos to the talented actors - SHS and ABH are now on my watch list. SHS can do emo well!
The OST and cinematography were really good as well.
I like how the main couple’s romance worked out. Secondary couple was super cute towards the end.
@JulesL True…. That boy is worthless but then His family is to blame for his and their own down fall …. Story…
I might get some flak for saying this but it’s typical of Chinese families to favor and protect their sons especially if they have only one heir. Yeah agree that the Gu family only have themselves to blame. I hope that they don’t drag it on and just get rid of him already.
I’m actually glad that the Empress’ assassins didn’t work out. All fingers would be pointing at her. Would…
Well, he is the prince of Northern Jin so he rolls with the enemy crowd from Anning’s perspective. Even Moshuang is playing her. I wonder if Anning’s end game would be as she wanted, to die in war and not be bothered by what her family did. Hopefully she will reveal what she saw before that.
I get why for An Le it's hard to extract revenge from Han Ye, He was supposed to be her tool but he is a kind-hearted…
I’m actually glad that the Empress’ assassins didn’t work out. All fingers would be pointing at her. Would have been too obvious. That said, the stunt pulled by the left chancellor and DCE was a cheap trick too. So cliched! I was half expecting her to be in a tub when the Prince woke up. I’m not disappointed in MoBei - we know his real identity and he has his mission. Just like Anle, feelings should not matter.
Anning is starting to sober up and connecting some dots. I look forward to her character showing some strength that I heard about from the novel readers.
I'm enjoying this fun, stress-relieve drama too, it's like watching Beauty & the Beast hopefully a HE 🥰🥰🥰…
You’re right - the push and pull vibe of their relationship is fun to watch. It’s hard to imagine such a fun drama could have a SE but I guess we have all been burnt before lol
Ep 19 was interesting - everybody with their own agenda unknowingly helped each other to take down the Marquis. I feel a little pity for the guy for having such a useless troublesome son. One villain on his way out!
I’m not even bothered by DCE anymore. Hanye making it obvious that he’s not interested is enough for me.
Right now, I want to see Anle carrying out her plan and looks like Hanye will become more involved. The story is picking up!
