On Why Her? Jun 26, 2022
Title Why Her?
I will put this drama on hold for now... I was really into it in the beginning. It was exciting and Soo Jae's character was amazing as was Hyun Jin's acting.... but for the last few episodes I just lost interest. Something is bothering me and I don't really like any of the other characters except Soo Jae. The writing became kind of unbearable... they don't let the viewers breath and so much is happening and not happening at the same time. Hard to explain, but I'm not liking the direction this drama took...

And the romance part seems to be bothering quite a few people. I actually was excited for the romance in this drama as I loved Hwang In Yeop in other dramas, so I was happy that he was the ML here and Seo Hyun Jin is the queen of romcoms, so I was excited for what kind of chemistry they would have... but sadly I feel no chemistry at all and their relationship feels really unnatural to me.

Gong Chan's character feels kind of bland to me and doesn't have much of a purpose expect for being a comfort to Soo Jae. Even tho he's not that young in the drama and started university late... he just feels too childlike to be Soo Jae's counterpart. It actually made me kind of uncomfortable how he pushed his feelings onto her several times and meddle in her business...

And the SML... I have no words. I like Bae In Hyuk, so was looking forward to watch him as well... but they turned him into an extremely annoying obsessed jealous SML. Why did they feel the need to do that? So unnecessary. Would have been better to form a bromance bond between him and Gong Chan. I'm baffled he feels entitled to meddle with Soo Jae' love life. He's not much better than his father of brother.

Maybe I will start watching again after it finished airing πŸ˜„

That's actually not surprising. I think in rural time people were killed for even less by the royal...

Today's episode was so good again! It's getting better and better 😊
I feel really bad for Jang Wook and I'm actually surprised he didn't turn evil yet and joined the dark side, because the mages of Songrim are so harsh to him for a reason he doesn't know of. He's treated so unfairly and doesn't even know why.... they also turned his kind mother into a bad cheating person.
If I were Jang Wook I would have found a teacher of the dark and evil side... they would have opened his gate of energy and taught him, but he didn't even consider this.

Under the pretense of protecting him, Park Jin is actually hurting him deeply and provoking him even more...

This is the current airing drama I am most looking forward to as well. This episode was even more full of comedy…
Same :D I'm enjoying the comedy as well because I know it will get serious in the future. And really anticipating the bond the leads will develop further, because they only have each other to depend on right now :)

Episode 3 was again a joy to watch :D Of all the current dramas this is the best for me right now! I'm so excited for every new ep! The acting is superb, I love the story and the characters. I'm actually not that much into fantasy, but totally enjoying the fantasy elements here 😊 I recommend this highly for anyone looking for a new drama... even tho I wish I started a bit later, so that I don't have to wait every week... but that is actually a painful anticipation that I enjoy as well πŸ˜‚

Just watched the first two episodes and it was so good!!!!!! Now I'm totally regretting starting so soon and having to wait every week. I love the story so far and the leads are sizzling with chemistry. Kinda realizing how much I missed Lee Jae Wook's acting. He really has an incredible charming way of acting. A depth of micro expressions and the tone of his voice are so addicting to watch. Also missed Jung So Min in a good drama. I love her in this role! Her last drama was not my cup of tea, so I'm excited to watch her in this one :D

And as many here in the comments already stated the ratings are ridiculous and not justified one bit... I think some haters really need to get a life. I usually don't rate dramas if I didn't watch at least 10 episodes, but I have to give this a high rating now because I'm baffled by the rating and want this drama to show up the the top airing dramas... Because for me it's the drama I like the most right now.

I didn't have any expectations starting this drama... the synopsis didn't really sound that appealing, but it while watching it started out pretty good and the latest two episodes were really entertaining :D So far I'm hooked

It's been a week since this drama ended and I'm not over it yet. Love to watch my favourite scenes over and over and it's hard for me to get into a new drama... Just finished watching all the Behind the scenes and I can hardly find any fan made edits on yt ... I should finally say goodbye to this drama XD
I see a few negative comments about this drama and well it's a really unique drama and heavy on the slice of life side, so it's not everyones type. This drama is not for everyone... I also wasn't impressed the first few episodes, but I got totally hooked along the way.
This drama will stay a long time in my heart.... I'm really impressed how the screenwriter can write such deep characters and thoughtful conversations which are so quite poetic, yet real and rare.

I loved My Ahjusshi immensely and this one also totally got me now.... Hope for a new good drama soon to soothe my sadness :)

Sadly there are no good subs out there, because the leads have interesting conversations but it doesn't come across with those bad subs...

It was a really cute and enjoyable movie. Very lighthearted and quite ordinary and I liked the chemistry between the leads and the acting was good as well. I would describe it as a typical romcom with a bit of sexual content. Nothing unique tho.
Watched it for Son Seok Koo and it was fun to see his versatile acting as more hesitant and nerdy guy. I also enjoyed the acting of the female lead as well. Her character was quite interesting, fluffly and unique :)

Can someone tell me if this is Wuxia or just historical? I don't like Wuxia(fantasy fights/elements), but I like historical dramas, but sometimes they forget to tag right genres... wuxia is not inlcuded so I'm wondering

I will miss this drama so much... Every time an amazing drama ends... I just feel so... empty. So afterwards I try finding video edits on yt to relieve the feelings I had while watching, so I can fully say goodbye to the drama. I'm so thankful to editors on yt ❀️ They let me bid farewell properly :D Am I too dramatic? lol

Anyway I absolutely loved Mr Gu and Mi Jeong! They had the most amazing chemistry and tbh I was so greedy for more ❀️ Why do "not romance" based dramas always have better romance than actual romantic dramas? I always feel that the characters and relationships seem to have so much more depth. Why can't romantic drama have those kind of characters and relationships?
I always fall in love with couples in non-romance (or rather romance is not the main genre) kind of dramas and then I suffer because I want MORE of them. More scenes, more intimate scenes, more skinship, more story, more development, more more more 😍 But I know that I can't expect anything in a not romance based drama... Ah... suffering πŸ˜₯

I'm sad and empty... waiting for the next drama which I'm gonna love and leave me empty by the end :')

I'm satisfied with the ending :) But there's one huge disappointment still... that we didn't get a Chang Hee and Mr Gu reunion... they had the best bromance ever. That hurts and it will keep me upset for a while T-T

Title Again My Life Spoiler
Hmm the ending was okay. Definitely didn't live up to the excitement of the first episodes, but the drama was overall enjoyable. Something was missing. It just didn't round up... and felt incomplete, even for an open ending.

There were a lot (maybe too many) of characters in this drama and for me no character actually felt intriguing. Even tho I liked Hee Woo as the main, he kind of felt "bland"... It was admirable how he was sticking to his principles for 16 episodes straight and didn't waver, but it kinda made him unapproachable and less relatable. I actually loved the scene at the end of episode 15, where Hee Woo was laughing hysterically while talking to Cho Tae Sob about forgiveness. That scene Hee Woo felt more "human" to me and less fictional hero.

And as this was not a romantic drama... they should have sticked with no romance til the end. Because that dating reveal just felt so unnatural and made me even cringe a bit lol How they gathered everyone to announce they're dating... I don't know... that was weird. And tbh... Hee Ah must have been the worst written character of them all. Sadly I agree with her nickname "product placement", because she made no impact in this drama whatsoever. Her relationship and development with Hee Woo just felt unnatural from the start til the end. Was there even development in the one minute of screentime they had together each episode? Hee Woo had more chemistry and development with Cho Tae Sob than with Hee Ah πŸ˜‚

Title My Liberation Notes Spoiler
A lot of comments say that there is a high possibility that Mr Gu will die and that it would be the most "fitting" ending for him and his "liberation"... but I think that would not be only really gruesome by the writer, but it doesn't seem to fit the drama?...

It would be too boring and predictable to end him like that. "A broken person...an alcoholic... there's nothing but death waiting at the end for him." This kind of cliche writing does just not fit the writing so far. Am I the only one, who would be really disappointed if they write his character off like this? I would be sad of course... but I would be more disappointed in the writing.
As depressing as this drama is, I think that kind of ending wouldn't really fit. It would be too cliche, too loud and dramatic.. and this is definitely not a cliche drama. When the mother died... I think a lot of people were taken aback, because if one of the parents had to die, we would have thought the father... but it didn't happen like that.

This drama might be depressing af, but the healing part is still a big part (main for me) of it. The latest episode showed it perfectly. "Five minutes a day. If you have five minutes of peace, it's bearable". This drama is called "My Liberation Notes".... it would be horrible if the most broken person finds death in the end, especially if it's at a time he's close to fill these 5 minutes of happiness everyday. What kind of message would this send to people who are broken like him? People tend to find sad endings to be more realistic and that's really sad. Life is not all rainbows and butterflies, but it's also not just pain and sorrow.
Sadly I think if this drama would end on a good/happy note, people would criticize it for being "unrealistic".

I don't even hope for an happy ending, but for a good ending, which will fit the sentiments of this amazing drama. As "My Mister" is my all time favourite drama and written by the same writer, I have high hopes for a good ending :) I'm actually devastated it's ending tomorrow, but I could fill almost 70 minutes of happiness thanks to this drama on my weekends, so I'm really grateful 😊
