Okay, I don't care... call it toxic, but Xiang Liu all the way! lol Let it be my guilty pleasure to ship them. They just have the best scenes and development so far imo. The drama is long and there is even a season 2, but for now Xiang Liu has all of my shipping heart. Their scenes just hit different. The tension, the chemistry, everything is so exciting when they are together. Seeing him slowly fall in love with her is truly endearing. His gaze is full of love. His awkward head patting to comfort her was cute and funny haha
Tu Shan Jing is too much like a puppy so far. He follows her around and does everything she wants. He's happy when she acknowledges him and sad when she ignores him. He reminds me more of a young boy and his crush. His eyes are also full of love. Why do ALL the male leads have so mesmerizing melo eyes? *-* Seriously all of them have beautiful eyes! I'm curious how his character is gonna develop. I wish to see him speak more than two full sentences :D
For Cang Xuan, there wasn't anything romantic so far. I guess I just feel siblings vibe between them. Maybe because they are cousins I have a hard time seeing them romantically...
I never imagined I'd like this drama so much. Chinese dramas really hit different this year! :D
I'm on ep 20 now. It's actually really sad how less the real siblings care for Qiqi... I know he didn't grew up with them, but still, he is their real brother. If I would be Qiqi I would feel unwanted as well. No wonder he's so reserved and cautious. He gets pushed from family to the cousins' family and back as if he doesn't belong anywhere. I guess I have too much compassion for him and that's why this drama never felt really felt like a "heartwarming" family drama to me.
Seems like all the comments and reviews about their love and care for each other just describe the older siblings relationship. "The Bond" is just between the older siblings... but here I am... I just feel sad for Qiqi. I guess that's why I have a little grudge against all the other siblings. Until ep 20 we didn't even see a few interactions between him and his real siblings... just with Simei a little bit...
Ep 10 was really good! I'm excited for next week. I absolutely love our main leads dynamics. They are fun to watch when they are bickering XD But I really wanted to know what happened when Kang San met his gf of the past... they never showed anything after the revelation :( Would've liked a talk or a hug or whatsoever...
Why do Asian dramas always let evil parents get away with everything and force their happy reunification on us? I really can't stand it... The mom didn't even show remorse or apologized sincerely and she gets away with not even a slap on the wrist...
Well this show was okay. It could've been much shorter, maybe it would've been better. I guess it was not really my cup of tea. I have just too much to complain but I'll just leave it in the drafts.
lol that dialogue cracked me up "You showed me all kinds of weird superpowers before that. Of course, I believed that you time traveled too. I would have believed you if you said you were Voldemort." "Who's Voldemort?" "He's a character from... Just someone who's name can't be said."
I usually love to read comments and engaging while watching ongoing dramas, which I truly hype... but I enjoy this drama so much that I'm really scared to read spoilers accidentally. Even had to clean my yt feed so I don't see any trailers of upcoming episodes... XD
I'm just on ep 3, but so many horrible adults... I can't even comprehend how they all have no conscience. The father is on a whole other level. Absolutely horrible, disgusting and despicable. Don't tell me he's gonna get his half-a**ed redemption like all the other horrible parents in Asian dramas... Some people just shouldn't get any children...
I love her with all the MLs so far... but I can't deny that she has the most tension with Xiang Liu so far. They have such a funny and chaotic energy when they are together... 😅 I'm so happy how every episode until now is so exciting and interesting :D
For this drama especially, I would like my MyDramaList comment section fellows to discuss everyday plot rather…
I'm trying really hard to avoid spoilers because I don't want to know who she ends up with yet. It kills the vibe and excitement. But I also enjoy to read comments while watching this drama... so I'd also prefer if they leave the details of the novels hidden behind spoiler tags :')
This is becoming incredibly draggy... and even THE revelation I looked forward to the whole drama was just sloppy and anti-climatic. I have no feelings whatsoever anymore watching this. I'm on the verge of dropping this. Because they could've handled the whole revelation so much more better. Angst, betrayal, disappointment, I wanted the characters to feel something...just anything! I just wanted EMOTIONS! But it just was outright BORING. So incredibly boring. I'm so disappointed... Now I think there is actually nothing I look forward to anymore... this will be an absolute snore fest now. Both revenge and romance plot are so draggy... I have the feelings I watched 21 episodes of almost nothing. I guess it's time to drop or put it on hold... Sad. It had big potential :')
I just commented after watching ep 1... now I've watched all 4 episodes which were aired and I'm totally HOOOOOKED! kyaaaa :D Like this was so good for a start! Everything clicked: Story, characters, music, directing, writing, fighting, CGI etc.. I'm really impressed so far. I actually really dislike fighting scenes in Wuxia or Xanxia, because of the flying and floating which looks ridiculous to me most of the time. But so far I really like the fights here. And the CGI is really good! All those fluffy animals look so cute as well 😂
I actually love all of the main cast and their characters. All are highly interesting, unique characters which are neither just good or bad. This is incredible good character writing so far. The characters were also greatly introduced to the story. All have exciting interactions and dynamics with the FL so far. Didn't have to skip one scene... which is so rare lately with the dramas airing. The acting is also really good and if I am not wrong, this also doesn't have annoying dubbing like almost all Wuxia/Xanxia dramas. And if it does have indeed dubbing it's incredible natural.
Really good so far. I hope it keeps this pace and writing!
Just finished ep 1 and I have to agree with other comments. The child actors were incredible and laid an amazing base for the story and main characters. Hope the adult actors live up to it :) tbh I've seen two dramas of Yang Zi and wasn't that impressed by her acting so far, but I already liked her and her character at the end of ep 1 and was pleasantly surprised. Haven't seen anything with Zhang Wan Yi, so I'm curious how his acting is. Episode 1 was really good and it seems likes a high production drama. I'm not into Wuxia, but I always like to try them out. After watching the first episode, I've high hopes to like this one... even tho it's too early to say.
But am I imagining or is the child actor who plays Cang Xuan the same child actor who played He Zi Qiu in Go Ahead? If he is, then I was already impressed by that young actor in Go Ahead :)
Her mom thought that she could enticed XuQin by showing her what she missed by going shopping. She really doesn't…
I found it funny how the mom thought she could trigger XQ with all those materialistic things... Like the f**k she cares about the newest chanel bag LOL She has a hot man at home, she couldn't care less. Mom really thought she did something 😂
Well, I do enjoy MYC scenes :D The hate he gets here is unjustified. He even tries to convince their mom to let XQ be with SY and just let her do her thing. He's showing good character development so far.
I feel bad for him if Ye Zi turns out be a total snake. He's slowly opening up to her and also trying to break out of his cocoon. He's not an angel but doesn't deserve to be used and manipulated by her. If she dares to accuse him of something!!! He has been nothing but nice to her. But she's just so fake... I already feel bad for him :(
