Am I the only one loving this show? I am tired of fast paced romance in BL. I like this slowburn but the pace is made just right. I’ve been watching this since episode 1 and I like the dynamics and the balance of scenes between first and second couple. Old couple is reconciling while the second one is just starting. If you hate this I don’t really know what’s the problem. I a, new to thai BL and Thai content btw but I had been watching asian dramas fro 20 years

The story is 2011-2013. Not maybe shown but subtle cultural influences and mindset is thill there when it comes to patriarchy. Have you seen the dramaa and understand nuances? Despite NXG mom being successful and technically one of the founders of their company her achievements are still not being taken into account. Why? Becuase she is a woman. Equal rights should be given but the harsh reality is the society still look at women as weak individuals. I am a guy myself and I am seeing that almost all of the time(I am living in a very patriarchal society). I hate it to be honest. I can't even laught at jokes objectifying women. But that's the reality and we are still fighting for that equality. This novel has been created based on societal norms chinese culture. Despite being fiction the influence of real life scenarios are very evident here

I am talking about the series. Thats why in the novel I am still rooting for zX. I didnt felt any chemistry in the novel to be honest with him. In the drama they made him green flag and villainize ZX.

Its easy to say it when you're not on someone's shoes. Ive seen people in real life got obsessed to someone. Took them a decade to move on. NXG left after graduation and didn't even bother to communicate because she thinks that he hates her and everyone in the circle didn't like her. She could've closed that chapter with him early. Despite having problems with RR but she didn't. Both of them are in college. Both have immaturity tendencies. Even LYS doubted NXG because he thinks that she is just cosplaying. How much more for people who have biases against her during college?

I just hate the fact that people hated ZX alot but NXG didn't even received so much spotlight on how she thinks and dealt things. Overall its not her problem becuase in reality that's in reality majority of viewers are women and even in real life rich mentality is different than normal working people. She even said that I can just start when I fail(my parents started from nothing) she said it like its nothing in front of her friends. For me that's fine(I am very openminded) but for people others it sounds cocky and if she is a guy. I don't think that would sound positive. Her mindset is good very business minded but that kind of mindset would really put distance between her and her peers since majority of them are from normal families.

Overall ZX is really dumb. He could've snatched her the first time she confessed he could've think practically rather than his ego. 😂. He could've had a wife, better life and successful life

I understand that majority of viewers are women but as a guy who was born in an asian household a breadwinner and experienced being manipulated and scammed by people I can totally relate to some life decisions of ZX. Aside from the harsh words he said.

The character where I can't say anything is LYS. He is the knight and shining armour people are looking for. Lol.

After watching episode 30 I realized that NXG is really sometimes out of touch of the real world. All she think before was about how ZX would fall for her instead. I think she inherited that business mindset of her parents. She didn't think at all why he didn't really pursue her. Everyone on the group knows ZX likes her but shes the only one who didn't realized that before? I am not saying shes bad but if the gender is reversed she would be the most hated character in the series. She rocked ZX peaceful world but didn't also put a boundary. ZX has been the breadwinner and receiving so much attention from a beautiful, smart and rich girl would ofcourse put doubts to his mind. The novel for me is better becuase the author didn't really villainize ZX. If ZX is really a bad person he could've taken advantage NXG but instead he waited and worked hard to land a job so that atleast he can have something to show and be worthy of her.
In china a man should lead the relationship most of the time. Given the situation of ZX adding an extra person to his life would probably unbearable for him already.

The best person in the series for me is the other friend of her who likes ZX as well. She understands ZX situation that she chose to stay behind and just admire him instead.
Ive already experienced being manipulated and didn't believe what other people say becuase I know the person first but in the end they were right afterall. Trust is built by time and trusting new people is hard that's what happened to ZX as well.

NXG is not a bad person she just someone who needed a person that
would match her pace which is LYS. A
smart, rich, successful guy. Opposite
her character but possesses the same experienc. ZX EXPERIENCED both heartbreaks of friendship and love. His biggest mistake is he didn't try and grab the opportunity and missing opportunities is more painful than failure. I hope that Guman would create an alternate story or sequel where we can see his POV and find a person that would make him happy.

Though I didn't have the same bearing and relationships with my exes. I can relate to ZX like 70-80 percent of his life choices and experiences.
