I'm watching the beginning of episode 27. For all that LMT has done for Ziyu, how come he didn't compensate her family with some sort of awards? Her family is struggling financially. If LMT is too proud to accept compensation, at least give it to her grandfather. For someone who claims to love LMT, how come he's not thinking the most simplistic thing he could do for her?

Both are not perfect people. She and her agency chose to work with shady people and now the majority of her brothers in the agency are dead. Her background has everything to do with how CXZ proceeded with her when he found her marked for dead and mistakenly called him husband. He had a job to do to catch Lu Wen. If you have such gripe with CXZ as a character, how are you continuing to watch with enjoyment? It seems as if he has ZERO redeeming quality. After all this drama is about the romance of CXZ and LMT.

Well said. It's truly a very touching scene and heartbreaking at the same time. In her mind, she thought he wouldn't be able to accept her true self. CXZ wiping his blood off the hairpin, putting it back in her hair showed such a strong love confession. She underestimated his love and was expecting the opposite reaction.
