i find it sad that, with the exception of White, Todd seems to be the only one who truly understands Black and appreciates him for who he truly is, and that's the same person who is after his life...
He really only be getting that romance subplot no one cares for. 😂 With so many characters there is simply…
when you mentioned that Gram was not there during the confrontation scene, it made me think about why the director would do that, considering that we would just see him react but probably not say anything anyway. And it made me realize that we actually have not seen the actual Black and Gram in the same shot at all. So maybe they're waiting to unfold the "mystery" between Gram, Black and Eugene once we finally see Black with him. Cause I think that from Black's POV at least, there is more to this. So had Gram been at the confrontation scene, maybe Black would have reacted to his presence more rather than Dan's IF for ex he either knows G likes Eugene or if Black had feelings for G. So yh now im lowkey kind of excited to see their interaction for the first time. But ofc this is all just speculation..
When Sean told White that in the preview he; (Sean) was teary-eyed, so I'm going to go with theory #4 lol. Black…
that would be hilariously cute, I just hope Sean is teasing White more than anything after all that angst, but I don't mind angst either, it's just the wait for each episode is pain.ful.
I think it’s number 2. Remember how he kept saying I don’t want to see your face this ep. he’s angry and…
that option kind of scares me tbh because it ties in with the scene of Sean putting down White's button on the ground, it kind of felt like he was giving up on White and that would be the worst outcome (from my perspective at least) :/
they all do honestly :/ i wish they were longer but oh well what can we do lol
yh i remember for ex with the lovely writer episodes, they just kept on getting longer every week, I felt so lucky. So when I watch new series like Not Me I always think back on that lol. But at least we were blessed with this series airing this year (cause with cdramas like Immortality, I'm not even sure they'll ever see the light of day TT)
yess there definitely is that kind of tension for sure but they are quite violent with each other...but tbh what really made me think that it could be romantic is that Black looked surprisingly emotional around Todd for someone who seems so uncaring and relentless toward others, which makes me think that he may really have had romantic feelings for him, but that he suppressed them (his hesitance, his almost teary eyes etc). Whereas from Todd's perspective only, it seems more platonic/sexual solely because of his nonchalance in certain moments and also how he literally tries to drown Black. He's definitely fond of Black tho I need an explanation for that card that White found in Gram's room tho. Where we are now in the story, it really confuses me. Gram obviously likes Eugene. Black hasn't seemed to show any special interest in Gram. So I'm confused highkey. I want answersssss
Riveted. Completely sucked in. THIS is how you do a slow build. I swear the whole episode I was just a ball of…
you put it so perfectly! I totally agree with everything you say. This show is just chef's kiss from beginning to end. I honestly think i've never seen anything like it
Thoughts on why Sean suddenly says he never wants to see White again in the preview?
Debunking some ideas: 1-feels betrayed about White hiding his identity: if this was it he would've looked sadder or angrier when Black revealed the truth. Instead he looked relieved and joyful 2-(this was my sister's idea) White trying to disappear after Black returned makes Sean feel dejected: if this was the case, he would have reason to be angry or frustrated for sure but i don't think it would be enough for Sean to say he NEVER wants to see him again. Afterall, he literally got beaten up by Black thinking it was White and still slept peacefully next to White the next day as though his head hadn't been bashed in the night before. So I find it too extreme. 3- Sean finds out about White's privileged background and this puts him off (especially if the dad is involved in shady stuff): fair but again, not enough for him to reject White so harshly esp as he knows that White shares similar views as him 4-Black convinces Sean somehow that he is putting White in danger and he shows some kind of proof about that. Now this to me feels like the most likely reason for him to say something so extreme. But then again it would really have to be convincing for it to work.
I know it's too early to say this but I love this series with my whole heart so when it'll eventually end, there will be a permanent void in my heart TT
