Finished this drama and I absolutely loved it. The chemistry between the 2 leads was wonderful. The secondary couple started off annoying for me because I felt like they girl was nearing stalker level but once she chilled out I enjoyed the build up to them eventually getting together. I started off hating Du Lei but then he redeemed himself. In the last few episodes I completely hated his guts. He should not have received sympathy from either lead after what he did. I hated that he got off scotch free at the end.
I loved the premise but I dropped this drama. I found it to be a bit cliche. Most of the time I have no problem with that but this time the acting was lacking.
I told myself I’d wait till it’s complete with English subs but I was like I’ll watch 1 ep. to see how it goes but ended up binge watching all 15 episodes now I have to wait to binge the last 15? The 2 leads have amazing chemistry as well.
I loved this! The character development for the leads was great. I wish Asula would’ve gone into his “God of War” mode in front of a grander scale of people so everyone could stop underestimating him? I loved the ending even though the 2 main couples didn’t get together. I just hate the fact that to make peace the Princess had to marry that crown prince instead of Asula. I understood Yu Ran choosing to become a diety to save her clan. I liked the fact that in the end Ji Ya came up North to help Asula defend his home.
I loved everything about this drama. The OSTs are amazing as well. I also loved the chemistry between the 2 leads. Only problem I had was how abrupt the ending was. I would’ve liked scenes of them together after they reunited and how he explains to her secretary why he disappeared when the FL nearly died. 9/10
Really enjoyed this show. Not too dramatic but also not a comedy. It’s a great blend of both. A slow paced show that will cool you down after watching something that’s intense.
The series started off great and then it took a nose dive. They started adding too many unimportant plot elements. The 2nd female lead was annoying as hell while the male lead was just boring. I’ve seen the male lead in other dramas and his characters are all the same with no personality whatsoever.
First off I haven’t seen the Japanese version yet. I am Currently watching this and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I feel like a lot of the scenes where they focused on the authors of the books were unnecessary and served no purpose to the plot. I am on ep. 31 right now and Zimo has my blood boiling at how he is trying to force Xiao to sign that contract when she doesn’t want to. I have loved their scenes together but it’s my first time in the history of watching a drama and wanting the main leads to split? hopefully he gets his shit together but based off the thumbnails I’ve seen he does?.
