You are the only other person I've seen to mention Stockholm Syndrome! The fact that so many comments here are advocating for her to just run back to him or cry and be miserable over him is just shocking. The woman has been through actual emotional trauma and nobody wants to acknowledge that.

The ML is even more problematic and misogynistic in the novel and they are toning it down for the show. The fact that some of these people are mad as hell about this is so telling 😂 I'm scrolling through the comments and seeing essays about their disappointment that LMT is not cherishing her man like the novel. Makes me sick tbh

it's so sad. MLs can be obsessive, cruel or stalkery and get a free pass. But God forbid a FL be too emotional, too whiny, too annoying or too cold. I think the only perfect FL in their eyes is themselves 😂

You're seriously projecting. She doesn't know what she's feeling yet and even if it is love she has to realize that for herself. You and so many other people here are pushing for her to be crying and screaming for the ML because you can't stand that he's being rightfully rejected. And her character is inconsistent? In what way? Oh no, she's no longer the doting subservient wife in the first 15 eps so that's now inconsistent?

Yeah but she's not asking for any of it. He is still a rando. He's lied about everything about himself. They've never had an honest conversation for more than a minute. Just because someone loves you doesn't mean you have to love them back. Y'all are being so weird about this. Maybe just let the characters figure out their own feelings in their own time.

It actually amazes me that so many people here delight in female suffering and are disappointed that the FL isn't in constant angst over the ML. Like why? She barely knows him because he lied about everything about himself. What should she be sad for? She already had her heartbroken moment of spitting up blood when she found out who he was. Now she's moved on. Both of their characters can develop separately from each other. It's hypocritical to demand that they both be equally miserable just because one side is more in love than the other.

Why does she need to accept him because he saved her? Would you fall in love with any rando who saves you? There are standards that need to be met. This is not one of those dramas where the girl immediately falls in love with the man who saved her as they twirl around in slow motion for the camera.

Finally all those years we've been complaining for better FLs has paid off this year! WCR is phenomenal as LMT and the contrast between her amnesiac self and her real self is a master act not many actresses could pull off so well.

Right there with you. I've seen so many strong FLs fall apart once they fall in love that it completely ruins their character (Song of Glory, The Legends) so I am glad this trope is done with. ML does not deserve her pining for him and needs to earn his way back into her good graces.

To borrow a phrase from another commenter, LMT was treated like a prisoner of war. In the eyes of the law, that is ok. But morally, is that ok? No. Not according to me. But I already said to agree to disagree. No one's changing anyone's minds about this.

There are other characters in the drama. And what's it to you? I can criticize a character and still enjoy the drama. I didn't realize you could only comment with praises.

Her identity at the time was Lu Wen's CONCUBINE so no, going by that piece of info available to the ML they were not direct enemies according to him. She was a casualty that he freely exploited. Also going by her identity as a CONCUBINE she could also be considered innocent because nobody knew she was actually Lu Wen. I KNOW that neither one of them are good people but this weird perception that she should be grateful that he saved her makes it seem like he did it out of the kindness of his heart, hence a good Samaritan. He IS NONE OF THOSE THINGS. That is EXACTLY my point!

Agree to disagree. He got swept up in his own lies and like LMT says he didn't fall in love with the real her. He fell in love with the "canary he raised." Yes, she was the one who mistook him for her husband but he was the one who willingly ran with the lie. A normal person would have just said no but of course he had ulterior motives. He took advantage of her identity and hid it from her, making decisions behind her back without her consent. He even said he wanted to get a full return in value out of saving her, so that doesn't exactly sound like the playbook of a good Samaritan. Taking advantage of someone when they're at their most vulnerable (in this case losing all of her freaking memories) is despicable in my eyes.

Falling in love doesn't excuse any of this. The FL's past as a bandit doesn't excuse his actions. That's just plain old victim blaming.

I don't see how her past has anything to do with her deserving to be taken advantage of as an amnesiac. You ask what despicable thing he did? It's plain and clear he manipulated her emotions time and again to get her to believe that they were a loving couple. Staging scenarios to perpetuate that reality and not to mention using her as bait to lure out his enemy. He could have stopped at any time and his friend even told him so but he kept dragging it out.
