I agree but it's just a shame that the production and editing feels so low budget. The drama deserves much better to tell the story it wants to tell without so many shortcuts. The weird kneeling scenes and the ML's constantly changing wig are sometimes so distracting to me.

I don't know if the Emperor is just stupid or spiteful? The ML genuinely wants to protect their kingdom but this Emperor is always scheming with his stupid wife and ugly son to screw ML over. Motivations are all over the place.

Don't bother with these people. They are beyond hopeless. They think the ML can do no wrong and since it's war or whatever he has carte blanche to treat the FL however he wants to and she should be grateful for it.
