Honestly I don't think the torture/whipping is happening at yao country.
In the novel there was a part that a minister of taijin wanted to kill FL and even torture her to confess she had betrayed the country but her father's presence stopped it. Now that her father seems to die, and the trailer clearly shows a minister sitting in front of her when getting tortured, I guess it is happening after or before Aoding took her prisoner
Hands down one of the best... if not the top one in Xianxia genre I have watched. Their chemistry was top notch, skinship natural, romance well built up, and the story was captivating from start to end. This is how an everlasting love Between 3[4] realms and lifetimes should be executed. Even when they forgot eachother, their souls and heart were allined and so in tune with each other. I loved that about this drama and as someone who hates amnesia arcs with passion!! It was the first time I enjoyed watching these too soulmates find their way to each other and fall in love all over again. It was such a breath of fresh air ! I did hope they would go more in depth as to what happened in human realm after FL is gone and how it went for supporting characters and Sima jiao's reaction, but I guess it was the limit they could go with for only 33 episodes. I will definitely rewatch it again
As much as I like a romantic scene as much as anyone else, it was so misplaced in the middle of war. Couldn't they do it after the killing of that commander ???
I don't think FL's behaviour is wrong. I just finished ep 3. So far it is clear, she doesn't believe ML is the killer, but everyone else does, and everyone, including zuge kong yun accuse ML based on evidence. If she wants to clear his name, she has to ask the exact questions she has heard all these times, and suspect every little details until there is enough evidence to show ML is innocent to others. She can't just say "yes, you are innocent because we were childhood sweethearts and I know you best". No one will be convinced and she won't be able to help him. Also there are lots of people who act as innocent and gentleman but years later you realize they were psychopath killers that even their spouse and parents never knew. Hell we saw tons of crime dramas with exact same plot as this. She can't use this reason to absolve him. Even ML doesn't expect it from her. He only wants her to suspect and not outright accuse him. So so far her behaviour makes sense.
Serieously... why change the perfect ending of the novel to such disaster of an OE ??? They changed FL's personality, removed the key character that was her master in the novel, changed her ability, changed ML's background story, and gave a skeleton of the novel with only the names of characters intact! If they were going to do this , why bother saying it is based on the novel?? With the main couple's acting skills and chemistry this drama could have been the best this year if they sticked to the novel. A true waste... to think I was waiting for this drama...
Why is it so good??? Now I'm scared for another 'Journy to love' tragedy!!! I'm already invested!! Perfect 7 episodes and also... they better release the OSTs fast!! It is rare that all soundtracks are perfect

He never touched any of them. They think he did. But he didn't. The only one he ever was intimate with in novel was FL and he will leave all the wives and concubine behind in the end of novel. I doubt the drama will change this aspect of novel

Personally, I think the story had a lot of potential but was a let down to some point. I liked the main couple.…
And about the ending, if I understood correctly HRY went back to the very begining, changed the keypoint events and then went back to were she first found BJS and died (as the villain already said to go back in time the one performing it will be sacrificed) and then her love tribulation ended and the time goddess sent her back to the very begging when she met BJS. So it means a restart of everything except in future she will have her kid with BJS and there will be no villain. Right?
Personally, I think the story had a lot of potential but was a let down to some point. I liked the main couple. Their complexity, struggles and clash of personality was very well portrayed. And to be honest, BJS is my favorite character to the end. He was such a steady character, it was interesting to see his silent protection and unwavering love for FL. But... a drama needs more than just main couple. There were few characters in story I actually cared about. Other than Li Mo and lianHua, the FL's maid, the kid and first deciple, I was fast forwarding all other parts. The love triangle between two deciples and the other girl from demonic sect was lacklustre. I really couldn't tolerate ZS's parts even for a moment (srsly is he being typecasted as delulu SMl?? In LOTDT and here, I find him detestable! The actor is really good but the roles given to him... a SML doesn't have to be this intolerable) and the ling'er's story was not that interesting either. Even villain had more compelling story than other supporting characters. The ending was at best vaguely explained and obviously there were a lot of room for explaining everything clearly if not for all the flashbacks and filler scenes. What is more... what was the role of the four higher gods and heavenly emissary in the end??? Other than punishing the main couple they had zero role. Even at ending war.... where were they?? It is sad because FL and ML's chemistry was perfect. I would love to see them collaborate again in future but the story it self was a wasted potential. If only they spent more on the main couple's story it would be great.
Well their power is a shared resource so when someone gets weaker the other gets stronger. So when she said that…
You interpreted it wrong. I meant the goal of that immortal and the other man BJS is investigating obviously was killing her child, so to go around and now offer her resurrection can't be for their good of heart. Perhaps it was not even resurrection, but an illusion just she saw, or perhaps that immortal wants to possess her child like he did ZS, or any other reason. But I seriously doubt it is resurrection as even her master said such heavenly defiying formation is strange.
She knew giving birth to a child in mortal realm meant draining her divine power? she told her son he needed her to give him power. So if she knew, then she wanted a kid with BJS despite knowing it meant draining her power? I'm confused

Not sure if we are watching the same drama, since as far as I see, the fact he is a total fool in love for her is undeniable. And he didn't even see the child in formation, or he would have remembered. Also as far as things are looking I doubt that formation was even for resurrection of her kid. The goal to kill her child from beginning is pretty obvious. The 'know it all' was pretty much her from beginning. Anyway to each their own. It is my take of drama
But seriously with how emotional and empathic she is , the fact she thinks she can do what BJS does and protect infinite is overestimating herself or perhaps understimating BJS's responsibilities. I really liked how Heavenly Emissary told her she shouldn't give empty promises about guarding the Infinite Steele. Even time goddess was amazed BJS noticed oddities the first time he witnessed the tragedies. She had hundreds of years and it took her master's persuasion to finally question whether someone is playing her. At this Point at least I think BJS is better as a leader. He is at least clear headed. Though now I can sympathies with her pain, still as her master said, BJS didn't deserve death. Not without even giving him a chance to rectify his mistakes. She took away his Chance to help resurrect their son just because she believed he wouldn't help. Even after multiple attempts at his life and imprisoning him, she still doesn't understand him not acting against her and even marrying her again means he loves her. At this point, unless BJS finds a way to bring their son back, I wonder how they can reconsile. But I think based on ending songs, BJS will sacrifice himself.
Finally someone with a sound mind! I so loved what her master told her as someone from outside view. HRY is too fixed on believing he is cold hearted , she doesn't want to consider another possibility or even try asking his help. Though it seems tomorrow we have a conclusion
