I LOVED THAT SCENE SO MUCH. I wish there was a continuation for it. I need to watch the special edit but sadly I can't seem to find it anywhere to watch with english subtitles :(
Kiyoi and Hira show their love for each other in different ways and when miscommunication is in the mix of all of that their relationship get's messy. I'm convinced Kiyoi loves Hira more than Hira loves Kiyoi. Hira is also not 100% at fault because Kiyoi doesn't say what he's thinking all the time and for Hira that can be a disadvantage cause he's an overthinker final boss haha. They have major communication issues. I really wish we got to see more character development from both of them as their relationship ACTUALLY PROGRESSES.
