I know this question wasn't intended for me, but I think it depends on the company and the director and stuff. Some Thai BL Dramas have a lot of NC scenes, and it wasn't tasteful to the plot. There are definitely a lot of Thai BL Dramas that are tasteful tho trust. I think a lot of Thai BL Dramas get carried away with smut>plot route sadly. JUST DON"T WATCH MY STUBBORN BAHAH.

Yesss I agree. None of the characters are perfect in the series, but at least we understood their reasoning, and empathized with the characters. In the novel whenever Wu Suo Wei got a haircut Chi Cheng would shave it off :( I'm just glad they let Wu Suo Wei have hair in the series. THANK GOD lmfaoo.

Chi Cheng from the novel just sounds so scary and ran through. Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei never had any proper communication with each other. They both just made a lot of assumptions about each other lmaoo. The whole novel was just fetishization, like you said I agree :(

Omg yess I feel you. I really liked the show that's why I watched it first and had really high expectations for the novel and was disapointed. Like where was the plot it literally was just them fucking each other 24/7. I also don't believe that Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei in the novel were in love. It seemed a lot more like lust. Chi Cheng scared me so much. His ego is as big as his dick. I rolled my eyes every time someone would praise the shit out of Chi Cheng. Like sure he's fine, but since he has no redeeming qualities in the novel it irritated me. Overall I loved the show and am griveing I wish I could rewatch it for the first time again.

I actually read the novel too! I was curious to know how people reacted to reading the novel lmaoo. Tbh I really liked the characters a lot more in the drama than in the novel. Someone on MDL said that the characters in the series were a lot different than the original novel. This sparked my curiosity to know why, so I read it. Chi Cheng's character in the novel pissed me off on so many occasions. I kept reading to figure out if there would be any character growth. Wu Suo Wei claiming to be "straight" pissed me off. I wish they changed that aspect in the drama, cause it's like we're reverting back in time :( The racism in the novel shocked me, but now I realize that the novel was written in 2014 so ig it makes more sense.

As a JoongDunk lover. I agree with you. Maybe they aern't perfect, but if they were terrible actors they wouldn't be allowed to stay in the industry any longer. I agree some of their other series before the Heart Killers was kinda boring, but cute. The Heart Killers brought a different dynamic for JoongDunk. I'm not saying The Heart Killers is perfect or anything, but it was interesting and kinda different. Dunk also acknowledges that he needs some improvement to his acting. He's working on it, he showed improvement in The Heart Killers for sure. I can't wait to watch him grow as an actor, in his future projects. I understand if people have differing opinions. Not everyone is gonna love JoongDunk and that's okay we can all have different opinions and respect that. Joong has come a long way too. JASPER as well as acting and that's super cool. If people don't like JoongDunk then maybe just don't watch their projects then lmfaooo it's never that deep.

OMG you're so right I was thinking the same thing. I was like wait why's Tony here lmfaoooo. Tbh I thought it was Chris at the end that just styled his hair and lost the glasses to resemble Way, but I guess it actually was Way and i'm so annoyed that we didn't get an explanation for Tony and Way.
