Sadly they really butchered Minami and Karen, The story is too Mayu centric.

He's busy with Grand Maison Paris and his ongoing project not long after he signed with that US agency.

Also East Asian A-list have a insane schedule unless he is fully commited to Movie or quiet picky for his role. The other option is letting go his Korean (Asian) career and fully committed to western production just like what Sanada Hiroyuki and Mackenyu did or become a "part-timer" like Lee Byung-hun or Asano Tadanobu.
