Mainly due to his actor is 66 y.o ,when he is around 53-54 in the cannon. That's 13 years difference with Izumi's actress and around 20+ years difference in cannon. His look is too old to be on his early-mid 50s by Japanese standard lol.

There is a running joke among viewers that all of the child actors/actress are A-lister consciously living their second life. All of them act like they have 10+ years on their resume, casting director did a really good job.

Teppei and Reo is canonically not *that* similar LMAO.

It would be a shocking twist if they changed Teppei into someone different in that footage (Matsuzaka Tori , Bando Ryota, or anyone from lion no kakurega/mikami sensei/neighboring set for example).

The final 3 episodes is really "fun bad" but please do not let Muto Shogo write Detective drama ever again.

The hallucination scene there is no effect whatsoever, but probably director-san thinks that it is more realistic.

There is a slim chance that Shin will survive, it's already 1965 and we don't see Shin in the very first scene of the drama (only Rina and Makoto).

Hopefully we got the 8.5 episode where Makino wears that stupid suit lol.

Episode 8 is my favorite so far! the choir scene legit makes me cry. Ema-chan's acting is really good in that episode.

The time we knew when the drama ends usually at the final episodes preview or they announce it on SNS. Unless it was pre-determined, usually for big budget drama/direct to OTT.
