Most likely the script is modified from the SM, because the synopsis of the novel (i don't read the entire novel, so i don't know more) clearly stated who died on the Tokyo subway sarin attack (20th march '95).
Meanwhile in the drama, the 20th march incident happened and his dad survived the attack (different person from the novel's synopsis)

The novel synopsis clearly stated who died, but that person died during the 20th march attack. I don't read the novel, but it seems that this adaptation altered that.

I think that we'll be getting a sequel. We didn't know whether Ichiro is going to change his and Junko's faith during the earthquake or not. Also with Junko is more educated, he needs to make sure that Wan-chan still exist since the timeline has altered a lil bit.
Most likely depends on the way Netflix release it, I think. Eye Love You, Futeki/Fermat, and Vivant/Trillion Game all have different release timeframe overseas.

But the script is pretty unconvincing so far.
Basically legal drama version of VIVANT that everyone can consume.
Probably next year or winter since Beyan is fully booked till end of the year. Wonder if it is going to be a movie or a renzoku.
