An absurd series at its best. The creators clearly tried to be smart and unique with the concept—like an artsy, thought-provoking series—but it ended up becoming a pathetic joke. While the concept is appreciable, the story is all over the place, lacking any clear vision. Honestly, I’ve never seen such terrible content in my life.

Some of the glimpses I saw actually got me interested too.

Do you think it’s a paid campaign? Or does the novel have some historical or deeper significance that made people this upset just because the movie is different? I know Korean audiences can be sensitive to certain things — is the novel really that important? Also, have you watched it yet?

Saying a movie is bad just because it's different from the novel isn't a valid way to review it.

More than 175 reviews — that’s a lot! Are they all bashing the movie? I can’t really say anything until I watch it myself. But if you forget the novel, is it entertaining or not?

Please excuse my words, but seriously—WTF was that ending? The screenwriter clearly had no clue how time loops or time travel actually work. You can’t just kill off future Zheng Yu, then magically merge his memories into the 2021 version and call it the same person. That’s not time travel—that’s lazy writing.

From a logical and scientific standpoint:

If the 2022 version dies in 2021, it creates a paradox. How did he travel back in time if he died before making that choice?

You can't just “merge” two timelines or people—memory isn’t a file you plug into someone else.

A reserved version with no emotional growth suddenly becoming a stand-in for the mature one we loved? That’s not romantic, it’s narrative betrayal.


The emotional stakes were real, and then the show just tossed it all out for a feel-good shortcut. He died a hero, and we ended up with his emotionally-flat copy. Honestly? That’s not how time loops—or storytelling—should work.

Weak and idiotic minds ruined the ending and made it clueless, with many flawed loops. Absolutely disappointing at the end.

Look, I’m not here to trash any artist—no one wants to do a bad job. And I’ve liked her in a few roles before but her performance is so off here that it becomes a liability. It drags down scenes that had real potential.

Ask around—how many genuinely believe she’s delivering something authentic or simply subtle ? If most do, fine, I’ll accept I have zero sense of cinema. But I doubt it. There’s a line between subtle and soulless—and she’s clearly on the wrong side of it.

Hoping for breathtaking, never-seen-before cinematography and a spectacular, epic soundtrack. This kind of story deserves multiple seasons. All depends on the execution on set. I'm seated.

After watching ep4: The soundtrack and cinematography are brilliant, and the writing and direction are good too—overall, it's enjoyable. The performances are also strong, except for Moon ka-young. To be honest, she feels like a misfit for the character. Her delivery seems mechanical, as if she's just repeating her lines without truly feeling them, which shows on her face—it looks dull and artificial, not genuine. The role demands a more realistic performance, and she fails to deliver that. It's a slow-burn, slice-of-life drama revolves around law. The other four leads are so good that there's little to complain about. Their humorous yet raw conversations are a joy to watch. 7.5
