I also like that YZM's assistant is treated with respect in this drama. C-dramas (even novels) often portray CEO ML's assistants as some kind of third-class citizens who will have to follow their boss' unreasonable demands at unreasonable hours. It is good to see that, in this drama, YZM has first found his assistant to share the good news of his promotion and celebrate with him.

I only see CCTV announcing it, no info on Tencent's Fast Pass.

I like that Mai mama is actually owning up to her mistakes and even apologizing to her kids. You don't see that in c-dramas, or even in k-dramas.

I also peeked at the comments section under the video, and it seems everyone is liking Best Choice Ever. Makes one wonder, why are ratings so low MDL? It also proves the fact that how unreliable MDL ratings are nowadays. Before, I used to rely on them to judge how good a drama is before jumping in. Nowadays, despite a drama having 8.7 or 8.8 rating, I had to scroll down to see the comments under the drama page to find what the actual audience feel about the drama before deciding if I should watch it.

Just watched the episode, and I still stand to to my opinion.
What Jungshooky commented below explains my stance on this.

Child's pov is already being manipulated by the ex-husband, he's the one to be blamed in this situation, not the her. And no, she hasn't abandoned her child. she did not fight for the main custody, probably because she couldn't fight him, and also in the hope that the child would live better with the father. And now, with the ex-husband manipulating the child into thinking that his mother doesn't love him anymore, the situation changed.

Not so sure about the custody, since I haven't watched the episode yet, but to take her child away from her child's father and raise with her boyfriend seems to be a good decision, given that her ex-husband is abusive and manipulative.

I actually remember her from another drama where she was the FL. Can't remember the name of the drama (it's been years), but I do remember the actress.

Ah, I actually love FL's brother and best friend's relationship. I also usually do not care for the second couples in c-dramas. Most of the times I hit fast-forward in c-dramas, the reason would be second couples. In this one, I actually dig them a lot.

I guess it is a preference. I always dug Noona romance, if done right.

BCE is more a family drama, romance takes backseat. I usually do not care for such dramas, but BCE hooked me from ep 1. I started for Xu Kai, and stayed for the story, even though Xu Kai doesn't get much screen time.

Oh, I didn't fast-forward a single scene yet, and there's very few (can count on one hand) c dramas that I haven't fast-forwarded at least a single scene.

Where is it fully on YouTube? I did find one source but it has no audio when OSTs are playing in the drama.

In ABAY? ML did have x rated thoughts about FL after her break up, but not real feelings, I don't think so.

ALP is one of the top c-dramas ever for me. I especially adored Xu Kai. The way he portrayed 3 different characters; you love the first one, pity the second one, and hate the last one but also, at the same, can't help but love him, too. ALP was one of Xu Kai's finest performances. But he did peak in WOL.

ABAY will also probably have romance from halfway through the drama, if they follow the novel closely. I wouldn't say slow burn romance, because neither had feelings for each other before they had a one-night stand halfway through the novel (novel is 80 chaps long, they have the one-night stand at around 43-ish chapter?). From there, the romance just blows.
