Every actor has haters, yes, but none so as dedicated as Xu Kai's haters. If you aren't already aware, they each have created multiple fake accounts. Their only purpose is rating Xu Kai's dramas down.

Also, other actors and actresses have fans who are willing to do the same dirty work as to create multiple fake accounts to rate their fave's show higher. Xu Kai doesn't.

A Correction: It's not just WOL, ABAY is also rated above 8 in his recent dramas. SAF is decent enough drama to at least get above 8 rating. BCE, while not everyone's cup of tea, does not deserve the bad ratings.
You should also be aware that WOL was so badly downrated when it was airing: WOL rating was around 7.7-7.8 for the first two weeks of its broadcast. It rose up later to 8.5 upon the drama's conclusion.

ABAY at one point was rated down to 6.7. You can't possibly see that and go, "Hmm, maybe it's not the haters, maybe the drama is bad."
It's not, and that's why the ratings slowly rose to 8.1.

I think it will be from Yuzheng. Unlike others, I don't believe Yuzheng was involved in creating XLS scandal. That scandal is also putting another one of his artists in bad light, an artist he has high hopes.

Blame the original novels. DT Appledog's Time has better novel (or rather, novels. it's got two novels. Read them multiple times). And also, I'm a sucker for Noona romance done right. The drama was also very good.

I did try Go Go Squid, couldn't get invested. Also, did not like Yang Zi's look in that drama. Her stylist has gotten way better recently, especially in BCE.

Will definitely check out Flourished Peony.

Loved Liu Yifei in A Dream of Splendor. She's got that charming smile and voice that just takes my breath away.

Only watched one drama starring Li Xian, unfortunately. Go Go Squid 2: DT, Appledog's Time.

My personal favourite of the FL is Lovely Us. Lovely Us is one of my all-time favourite c-dramas ever.

I tried New Life Begins, but I guess it didn't click for me. It's a me thing, nothing wrong with the drama or actors. Gave it a good 6-7 episodes before dropping.
But I heard it's very good as per general audience.

It is a bit slow but just to my liking. It's my comfort drama. Yeah, they were low-key crushing, but didn't realise it, or rather, they were in denial. Especially the ML.

Ah, if it's going to be emotional rollercoaster, I will look into it later.
I need a simple slice-of-life kinda drama after Moonlit Reunion. Guess I'll do another re-watch of YAMLF, and then jump into WLIS.
