In the novel, unlike in the drama, HT just thinks he likes JX at this point. He wasn't all lovey-dovey and confessed his deep feelings for her.
FL getting apprehensive about HT's feelings in the novel is justified. Even in the drama, to an extent, it is justified. But it can't erase his confession and the love and care he has shown all the time they have been together. That's why you see people not happy with JX for doing what she did.

In the novel, HT asked the same question: Define the word, Love. But the situation is different. HT seriously thinks JX is perfectly suitable for him. And that's his love. So the question was asked. And JX was more justified to go the competetor to second round of investment.

I don't think the drama will be shelved even if the allegations are true. Considering he's a supporting actor, the drama can just cut all his scenes and re-submit for review.
