There is, and for the first time, I did not hate that the leads broke up. The break up was much needed for them to figure things out before getting back together for a long haul (until their death, literally).
The thing is I bet those who rated low did not even watch the episodes.
These days, before watching a c-drama, I'm first coming to MDL comment section. You get real insights on here only. The ratings (even higher ratings) and reviews are very misleading here.
There are ex Bai Lu - Xu Kai shippers also hating on Xu Kai. The constant between two ships is Bai Lu. I personally would not even call them fans, they are just mentally ill people leading pathetic lives. I really like Bai Lu, but I cannot stand these people who claim to be her fans.
For those who are wondering if the rating is a glitch, nope. Xu Kai's got haters from a certain actress' fandom, and the only purpose of their pathetic lives is to downrate any and all of his dramas.
The rating will take care of itself if the drama is good, don't worry.
I thought I would have hard time separating the novel and drama, but as soon as I saw XK and TSY portray their version of Han Ting and Ji Xing, I was so immersed in their portrayal that I totally didn't care about the novel characters. Great job, XK and TSY, and the rest of the cast, too.
The drama, despite a couple of cliches, was well executed. Fingers crossed!
they did but only the ml knows it. the fl didnt know the existence of the ml until they crashed into each other
It's not in the novel. It surely counts in the drama, but none of that happened in the novel. They are complete strangers when they met the first time (bicycle accident).
Han Ting isn't virgin in the novel. Neither is Ji Xing.
How have they portrayed Han Ting and Zeng Di relationship? They are supposed to be in a friends with benefits relationship. Han Ting does not like her though.
I haven't watched it yet, but from the comments here, it seems the drama is pulling out all the cliches the novel avoided. This is what I was afraid of, smh.
