I could only enjoy the first story, I love the atmosphere, and the fact that the singer was pretty much really in big mess if the nurse didn't have the sixth sense (?) because the fan don't wanna let him go; also the dream sequence or when the camera flying in that long hallway was done well, it was haunting.

I don't like the two other story, the cast performance was okay but the moment that should be haunting was not really hit, you know, and it's really affecting my overall satisfaction of watching this film.

"You don't sing, you die. Sing off-key, you die. Score lower than 80, you die."

A ghost who's gonna kill you if you bad at singing? damn.

Super hilarious; the comedy is very Thai. Just reading the premise made me chuckle.

At the beginning, there are character introductions. I thought it was going to be dull and plain, but they filled it with jokes that almost always hit me. There is talk about Mae-nak, Buppah, which was familiar to me; the parody of Lights Out short film ver. was quite funny.

When the night comes, Premika goes out to strike and hands her mic to her victims. I like it as it's usually always funny, and most importantly: the songs are such a bop. My favorite was the drunk guy at dinner; he sang a song from a Thai band called The Innocent (I looked it up), and the song title is ฝากรัก / Fahk Ruk (Entrusting My Love); it was so dreamy, interspersed with footage of the man meeting his wife in the past and fell in love.
When the people who were challenged by Premika failed, they died with bad CGI, but I can forgive it because the film is funny and I enjoyed it.

When I thought I was done, this film gave me more: Premika's ghost backstory, told through a song, titled ไถ่เธอคืนมา / Tai Tur Keun Mah (Buy You Back) (Orig. Singer: Pongsit Kumpee), and it was unexpectedly touching, heartwrenching; my eyes were teary.

I'm really satisfied with this film. Thanks.

The story is quite intriguing, about a guy who had a nightmare or vision of a man mutilating a woman, and then the ghost of the woman haunts him, the guy thought she's asking him to find her, so he try to find her, that's pretty much it.
About the scare, I don't think it's creepy, not because for the cheap jumpscare but this film addicted to CGI, the ghost in CGI was just not it, even though the use of CGI gave an opportunity to make the death scenes to be kind of creative, but overall the CGI doesn't look good.

The twist... I almost got it right, it is what I imagined, but they kinda twisted it, and I didn't expect that. I knew the man is the murderer afterall, there's also hypnotize thing I consider but then... SHE CAN DO THAT?!!

I know this series is set long before Kayako and Toshio time, it's not even about them, it's more about the house that somehow already cursed before them, and this series makes me longing for them even more.

This series got the atmosphere right, the build up towards scary moment is quite great, but when it needs a hard punch to make those moment impactful and slaps, it just so weak. Those were mostly covered up by the story that absolutely intriguing; in fact, that's what kept me watching until the final episode, even though the way it feels like Interstellar kinda weird to me.
This series also looks quite beautiful, the shots, the lighting, etc. put to good use to help strengthen the atmosphere and build up.

This series ends but leaves a wedge in my heart.

This film is so slow, I still enjoyed the mystery though and the atmosphere is great but somehow halfway through the film, I kinda lost my purpose to watch it as I come for this with crazy body horror in mind and this film seems not really taking that direction. Tomie-san sure looks pretty and creepy but her seperated head or headless body moving is below my expectations.

In the end, I still enjoyed it and I love what I see in terms of visual aesthetic.

Do I need to read manga tho?

A drama that combined live action and animation and they're synergizes well.
The live action isn't much dramatization, the animation that is represented by cells in Yumi's head explains a lot of things that are turbulent within Yumi in many ways that make sense and makes me think "oh this is what happens inside my head, when I see Yumi experience something."

The story of this drama is simple, about Yumi who goes about her daily life, goes to work, meets love, etc. but accompanied by the cells that work in Yumi's head, they try their best to help Yumi live a happy life, making this drama very exciting. The execution is good, the acting is good, I just really think this drama is good, especially when things start to get serious in Yumi and Woong's relationship, they're cute together and got a lot of dokidoki moments between them but the dynamics in their relationship feels organic.

The last two episodes is hard to watch for me, Yumi and Woong already spent to much time together, create a lot of memories together, the way they did it with that card gimmick and flashback, it broke me.

Oh yeah, the OST are also good, really helps to amplify the feelings and emotions in every scene. My favorite is "Our Story" by Melomance, they slayed with "Love, Maybe" this year in Business Proposal, and both songs affect me in the same way, that I will only take in the good memories between Yumi and Woong, like I did with Shin Ha Ri and Kang Tae Moo. I still can't move on from Business Proposal.

I don't know if I'm going to watch the 2nd season, I love Yumi and Woong too much. So yeah, 5-stars from me, thank you.

"This human being has no heart."

I'm stick with my mindset-that this is gonna be a haunted house, probably like Kayako from Ju-on because the poster has that vibe.

The first act was passed by introducing the MC, Wakatsuki fascinatingly well, but I thought a lot why was it leaning to the comedy while the main character was described as a meek person and feel so far from horror.
The second act started to be serious, Wakatsuki personality used by main villain as a trigger for conflict and everything is about to go down; sometimes there are still funny moments occasionally, also at this point I realize that the editing and cinematography were so great, give this film its own taste.
The third act is where everything is going down, conflict leads to its peak, and the true horror face of this film shows up. Unnerving, thrilling, spine-chilling and there's no Kayako but this film main villain were so dang terrifying, and the Wakatsuki final battle versus the main villain was so FIRE, ended satisfyingly.

I still don't get it why Wakatsuki think the main villain was a possible next victim of the insurance fraud, like Wakatsuki met the main villain dead ass face for few times, those expresion and the way it talk should have given him red flag, so I kinda think the essays seems forced for the sake of Wakatsuki who is a meek, imo.

The actors performance deserves praises, even though sometimes they're seems over the top but overall they did well on their respective role, especially the main villain, never thought could be that scary.

"I received this letter..."

I'm gonna type what I think about every stories.

1. The Overtaking (3/5)
Great opening, when those guys looking at the mirror to see the ghost, I get surprised like they did.

2. The Shadow Man (3/5)
It's give me goosebump when the banging also occurs in the real world, then the grandma & her daughter becoming so quiet as the camera zooming to the darkness.

3. The Tailing (1/5)
Is it because of trauma? Boring.

4. Looking Out Together (4/5)
For me, it's terrifying because what if the female teacher never move on and keep bothering him? Imagine that happen to me, it just aargh.

5. The Red Woman (3/5)
I hate something that ends with "If you listen to this story, she will come to you", my 10 years-old get paranoid because of that and I afraid to get to toilet for months because a story I read says that "the ghost will come to you in toilet after you read this".
This short kind of the same and a little bit like It Follows (2014), if you telling story to others then the Red Woman will angry and come to you, but if she killed someone you already told then the baton gets back to you. I guess it works like that. Crazy.

6. Empty Channel (1/5)
I don't feel convinced that listening to that woman who talking on the radio could make someone do something like at the end.

7. Hide and Seek (2/5)
At first it was a little funny, because as if the mystical thing that happened in the school was common, but for the new teacher it was clearly shocking, make him think that stay late at night is yabai yabai for a while, but then he's following that ghost kid, stupid.

8. Keep Playing (4/5)
Funny & scary, like why the hell those kids playing in graveyard, and watching them one by one fall, hurt, then go home was hilarious, because there are lots of them kids but they keep falling and bleeding somehow. When there's only 3 kids left to keep playing it was starting to get creepy, when there's one left it's BOOM, I'm gonna pass out if that was me.

9. Thief (2/5)
I like how this segment tells its story, but I don't understand where the part that should scare me.

10. Sealed (5/5)
Short, evident & solid.
HIs film quality could be up and down but class is permanent.
Great job Koji Shiraishi with that suitcase.

A surprisingly decent mockumentary, does not offering new things but the execution is quite good.

The point begins with the Kaikai Channel crew who fake the shows about Hikiko because they have difficulty meeting the speakers about Hikiko who was shared by a Twitter user, but later it fell victims in accordance with the way Hikiko murder her victim, dragging them and skinned them. After there were several victims who had the same fate, then it was the crew's turn to be haunted.
It managed to make me shudder, then the jumpscare was not fancy but effective.

I cheered a little when the crew finally met Hikiko, she looks like a normal japanese female ghost but the way she moved her body and the way she walk was quite imprinted in my memory when I watched the CGI animation ver., and the Hikiko vibe in here was almost the same as the animated version, I like it.
There's a missed opportunity imo, to make a chase scene by Hikiko in the apartment hallway or just seeing her walking throught out the apartment hallway like in the animation could be a gold scene, because she's a hardworking ghost, she's a limp but she will chase her victim no matter what, and that's creepy.

Well therefore everything that is presented in this film is well executed, from the story, jumpscare, the character, etc. so it's feels easy to digest.

Chishuu Ryu trying to let his daughter get married to someone again, along with those worries about how Chishuu Ryu would manage to live without his daughter, but the separation that happened in here was not as devastating in Ozu's previous films, I felt I could smile even though Ryu would be all alone again because now there are 3 children and they don't behave inconsequentially, realizing that gives me relief, that's what I feel after finished this.

I also think this is one of the funniest Ozu's film I've ever watched besides Ohayou. Trio of Chisuu Ryu, Nobuo Nakamura & Ryuuji KIta once again makes me laugh with their casual typical-father conversation, that young wife & pills talk was so hilarious, even in this film 2 times I was fooled by their unexpected prank conversation which ended up with me laugh with them, such pleasure. There are some moments that have the potential to be a drama conflict but here is made funny instead like a sulking husband bullied by his wife and sister in a family way etc.

I love Ozu.

This film makes me sleepy, I don't understand the story or what this film wants, stab stab stab, cut cut cut. My eyes were wide open when the scene prying the man's eyes that reminded me of a viral horror video in the era before Android existed, and at that time it was scary because I watched it when I was in elementary school, of course with my friends.

I think this is the weakest torture porn film I've ever watched, as I recall I have watched this subgenre several times and usually always gives an uncomfortable impression but not for this one.

The 3rd Thai movie about witchcraft that I watched which was released in 2005 alongside Art of the Devil II and Necromancer.

The film feels very much like a B class film, low budget but there's an effort. Unfortunately, P only uses this skill twice, after that she does things that are forbidden, then it made her turns into somekind of vampire, killing people using power that can kill from within the victim's body. Very strange, so random but the kill scene got some decent effect.

If this film can be consistent in the way of witchcraft, maybe it could be better.

"There are not many paths to take. Only two, in fact. You need to make your own choice." - Itti

I like how the film uses the first act to tell the antagonist and main protagonist's stories very well, portraying Itti as an overpowered sorcerer and Santi as the determined cop who will be the one to stop Itti. With the first act executed well, their first encounter happened shortly after a ceremony, which gave me goosebumps and made me believe their encounter at the end of the film will be epic.

The strength of this film is the plot wrapped in mystery, the atmosphere, and the characters. It's not scary, but it was so intense from the beginning to the end, with a gripping atmosphere surrounding it. In line with the synopsis in Letterboxd, we witness how Santi over time turned into the person he wanted to put in prison, to the point where he fell too deep and couldn't come back, and he himself became the same kind of person as Itti. Tbh, Itti, and Santi were played very well by the actors.

The thing I've been waiting for while watching this film is the final battle between Itti and Santi, but it ends up not being as epic as I thought. I know this isn't Harry Potter, but at least they don't just keep punching each other. They did show off some of their black magic skills, but nothing special. Disappointing.

It's good but not enough. I still prefer Art of the Devil II & III when it comes to black magic or witchcraft film.

I gotta say this is the best pink film I've ever watched.

I like the plot, about small motorcycle gangs that like to terrorize girls to be raped; then the conflict arose when Kawashima prevented his friend Kaji from raping a girl because it happened that Kawashima came with his younger sister, Megu, who didn't know anything about what Kawashima and his friends always do; then the story continues.

This pink film just felt different compared to other pink films I've watched; it's not so ridiculous and almost looks like a proper film, has a pretty good plot, is surprisingly heartwarming to look at Kawashima, who really cares for his younger sister and tries his best to protect her, and has a lot of great shots, tbh, like the scene under the rain.

This film far exceeds my expectations for a pink film. Nice.

This drama has encouraged me to save money again, which is pretty much frugal living. It makes me realize that my current way of life is not sustainable in the long run. It was the first 8 episodes that made me think like that. When Na Young Won was still single and not tarnished by true love, what was inside her mind was only to save up money, save up money, save up money, etc.

After Eps 8, so Eps 9-12 were fine; I'm fine with Ja Sung becoming a simp, but it causes Young Won to lose sight of her life goals, and this drama feels like an ordinary romance drama around those episodes.

Worse, after Ep. 12 or when Ja Sung decided to break up with Young Won, this is really too much, just like when Young Won was drunk and said, "I couldn't understand all of this," which I also thought with frustration. It's just dumb. I'm glad that Choi Go, Sang Soon, and Ui Joo came to the rescue, as they have since the first episode.

At this point, I only hope that K-drama can be self-aware like Business Proposal (2022), which had only 12 episodes but was solid.
