The meeting of a husband and son of a wife and a mother who had different fates was very stifling. One side was downhearted because they thought he was dead in battle, I assume so that's why they decided to make a pact with the devil; Then the other side feels a deep loss and longing because he lost the underlying reason he kept fighting for his life, the love, the family, the warm.
The actors who played in this film, acted quite well, they're really delivered the emotion in every scene. What I like the most is the cinematography, it has a lot of beautiful shot and great movement too.
So this is not the film you want to watch if you want to get scared (if you expecting to get scared like i did), but hang in there it's satisfying.

From the start of the film I could feel the tension, and I enjoyed every moment in this revenge story wrapped in dirty politics and corporate intrigue.
What Nishi did was extremely reckless, as he himself said "It's like jumping into a snake's pit." he knew it was dangerous because he knew he could die at any moment because these officials have great power to do anything to keep their dirty activities from being exposed to the public.
Toshiro Mifune, i gotta say he one of the coolest actor I've ever seen, he looks dashing and cool, his acting was also good, really deserves to lead this kind of revenge mission, I also realize he seems suitable to play Clark Kent or Superman.
That's all I can think of, I finished watching this film feeling full of emotion but I enjoyed the whole film.

The snow covering the town gives off cold and warm feeling at the same time, which also gives a sense of comfort.
I thought this film would only revolve around Hiroko and Itsuki exchanging letters, but at some point I thought "If there was a flashback scene which shows the moment when Itsuki male is still alive with Hiroko or Itsuki female, it would be more interesting", and finally the female Itsuki reminisced about her school days when she was in the same class with the male Itsuki (Hiroko fiancee), which I could say the first love vibe was very thick and the fact that those many sweet moment can't be repeated or even continued makes it painful.
I can't help but cry, the desired happy ending that can't come true and dealing with loss and grief is so suffocating, even though healing will happens over time.

It's a rewatch, like trying to reminisce because I also happened to have forgotten some of the contents of this film, so I decided to re-watch it.
Inoue Mao & Masaki Okada looks so young in here, they are also quite good at building chemistry and doing dramatic scenes, and they're made me crying hu hu hu.
Enough... enough... I think that's all I can type hu hu hu.

Honestly I think this original version and the remake are both good, both giving the same level of pain and stinging, except for the burning anger in my heart that I can't repeat because I already know the ending.
The storyline is the same but there are many differences in it. Like Mayu, played by Atsuko Maeda, it is said that she works as a dental hygienist but she is never shown working, while in the remake, her character is a nurse, shown when she works. It didn't have much effect on me, because the actress played well, so they both experience the same suffering.
Hmm... what should I type more? I don't feel like to compared further of this original and the remake, also not really want to dig deeper.
Ohh...
Atsuko Maeda or Acchan, playing Mayu is built into a figure of dream girlfriend, she is kawaii, adorable, loveable, appealing, sweet, enchanting, captivating, endearing, precious and she also seems smart and a future wife material as long as the man can appreciate and take care of her. Her voice is charming, feels soothing, I want to hear it every day, that "Takkun~" makes my heart flattered because it's so sweet.
Kinda wish I was born earlier so I can experience Acchan in her AKB48 days. Doesn't mean I regret to born younger tho, because I love my kami oshi in my Profile Picture.
I don't feel like to mention the remake, just in case there's somebody who have watched the remake but more stupid than me, that they're not realize they already watched the remake so they're still surprise with the ending. I don't want to ruin it for them if they read this blabbering.

The ghost, to be honest, is scary from the moment when she was just smiles but blurry in old film footage until her laughter with those black teeth becomes clear when she face our director's character. Her make up isn't as scary as Sadako and Kayako, but her laughing expression can give you have nightmares.
Only 3 stars because it still make me shiver, and now I want to sleep cause it's already late but i don't think i can.

You could say this film gives a little insight into what is happening inside the airline, and shows a lot of work that revolves around aviation such as pilots, flight attendants, the ground-crew, mechanics, dispatchers, controllers, and the bird patrol crew, then shows how their importance in supporting a flight.
I've never been on an airplane, so I don't know if what's shown here is realistic or not, but I like how the characters here are shown to be very disciplined and professional despite facing many challenges, of course, none of which is easy in all jobs.
The flight drama is thick but Mr. Shinobu is good at throwing jokes at the right time which makes me laugh a lot in serious situations, like when Capt. Suzuki wanted to announce the flight after take off, but the channel was still connected to the dispatcher, then Suzuki was laughed at by the dispatcher, then Mr. Hanada told him to repeat the announcement but Suzuki becoming nervous then he messed up and laughed at by the passangers, and anyway you have to watch it yourself to enjoy the jokes because there are still many funny moments.
As for the actors, they do their respective roles very well, but who catches my eyes was Ayase Haruka, her acting is pretty good but she's pretty and very kawaii, I think I fallin for her. I'll try to find out about her after this.
If you reread it from above, it seems that I really like this film and I deserve to give it 5 stars, but unfortunately this film doesn't give the satisfaction that it gave me after I watched Swing Girls.
That's all from me, thank you.

The execution is really good and safe, doesn't do anything weird and stupid, it is also supported by the acting of Yamazaki Kento and Kawaguchi Haruna which produces quite good chemistry, making Hase attempt to become Kaori's "friend" feels worth it.

From there I bonded with the characters, especially Suzuki, Takuo, Saito, Sekiguchi and Tanaka; because they can be called the founding members of Swing Girls who try to live their dreams and passions that grew unintentionally.
In the rest of the film, i just enjoying the jazz performance which is very cool while watching the characters of the young people do it with passion, burning enthusiasm and sacrificed a lot of valuable things in their lives to do jazz.
I've read other user review, and must agree that this film better than Whiplash, despite has the same great jazz performance but this film has kawaii girls who sheds blood, sweat & tears.
Absolutely one of the best film I've ever watch and rank up high there.

What is certain is that this film has qualified actors and actresses to build a good film and indeed there is nothing I can complain about from their acting performance here. They manage to build a good chemistry, injecting enough emotion to feel attached to their characters.
I myself prefer the story of Mother, Joo Hee and Oh Joon Ha because it is more emotional and when I saw their love story my eyes filled with tears, their meeting at the hospital was really heartbreaking, as if they realized that was the end of their story. The story of Ji Hye, who is also played by Son Ye Jin, feels lighter but is actually sweeter, they repeat the story of her mother but in Joon Ha's shoes, and is paired with Jo In Sung as Sang Min which surely makes girls melt.
That's all I want to type. Thanks.

The cast selection is pretty good, Mei Nagano as Rinko looks so kawaii, Suzuki Ryohei looks good as Takeo, and the others are acted pretty good too.
Unfortunately this movie can't be as exciting as the anime, it's hard to explain in words what it feels like.

It's very obvious that this film is a drama in terms of plot and direction, it's made to be lilting. Even so, the execution of the horror scene is still quite intentional and quite tense.
After I finished watching this film, I feel that if this film were made into a pure drama & romance genre film, it would seem to have more impact on.

This second part clearly raises the relationship between Buppah and Rang. When Rang was a child, Buppah became his private tutor and became his first love. That feeling is still there until Rang grows up and rents a room at Oscar Apartment, where Buppah died 10 years ago in room 609 (time of the film), where it's clear he met Buppah's spirit but since Rang doesn't know what happened, the film continues. .
The film is still funny and scary too but not as effective as the first part. I don't know because I was too focused on the continuation of the story about Buppah and Rang, but it really wasn't as strong as the first part.
Drama or romance? The relationship between Buppah and Rang is not that deep, but the pure power of Rang's first love and the interaction between them warms me. So when Rang finds out what happened to Buppah and he reads Buppah's letter, it really breaks my heart. Imagining how beautiful Buppah's life would be if misfortune had not happened to her and she also knew that there were still people who loved, cared and had real love for her.
It's truly suffocating seeing Buppah Rahtree tragic story in 4 films. Moreover, this film closes with the possibility of a beautiful future if only Buppah had not fallen for a bastard named Ake and keep on focus her study, as she was also the top of her class in medical school (explained in the first film).
What happened let it happen, now I can only imagine Buppah Rahtree in the alternate universe living happily as a doctor and living with someone who truly loves her.

I dare to say this movie is much better than its predecessor, sadden? my eyes are teary, scary? yup, funny? can't stop laughing. The horror and comedy managed to synergize well, all the jokes didn't feel forced, even when the horror came in, I think all of that was because the cast that was hired was indeed more proper.
The drama is also very well made, especially when it introduces Pla as Rahtree's reincarnation, which really makes me feel sorry, I want to cry when I see her being tortured by her stepfather, bullied by her friends, then raped by a horny old man, then I remember what happened to Buppah in the previous film made this part painful, made me sympathize with her character a lot. Everything they've experience, boils down to their motivation to kill people especially men and it was acceptable.
As for the horror, to be honest the design or make up of Buppah and Pla while in ghost mode is very cool, their mouths are made open while holding a razor, more than enough to be my nightmare. Much better than the previous 2 films, where Buppah's make up looks too simple. Moreover, the placement of the jumpscare is quite good even though it is helped a lot by the noisy sfx "aaahhh".
Overall, one of the best horror comedy I've seen in my life, rarely there's a film that can scare me and make me laugh at the same time.

Either way, the comedy must be accepted, because for some reason they combine the horror moments while trying to be funny, exhausting.
I ended up being more sympathetic to Buppah, had a future that might have been bright, but was ruined because of a man, got sexually abused by my stepfather and got pregnant by Ake. Laila Boonyasak as Buppah, makes me want to take care of her.
Actually, I've watch Rahtree Reborn few years ago and it was better than this.
