True; will like to add that SZJ was a hero. His relentless determination discovered the truth but it caused his untimely death. The truth released TJ’s pain, restored her dad’s reputation & absolved NYS’s dad from it. Without the truth, it may be a harder road between TJ & the Nies. In early days, he was TJ & PP’s saviour but in recent times, he gave TJ financial woes because of his bad judgement in unreliable biz undertakings. i believe he kept on trying because they needed to make more money urgently for PP’s operation which is needed asap as it has been delayed for too long.

Its always been clear that TJ knows NYS knows nothing & is not involved in her dad’s death. How can he? He was schooling. She continued to keep quiet because she thought it was better for him not to know & let him lead a good happy life while her life was turning hell; her dad died & people coming after her for money cos of the incident. She never forbade NYS from getting to know their son. It was after NYS’ dad’s actions & the disrespect he shown her & her friends etc that gave her trust issues with The Nie that made it difficult for her to accept NYS’ help. I, too was disappointed with NYS despite his claim of having her back when he sat with his dad to fight for Full custody of PP. If his goal was to have TJ & PP in his life, common sense will tell u that’s not the way to do it. Just tell dad to bug off & not turn up for custody meeting!!i think it’ll help TJ alot if he stayed out of it; it says a lot to the court if biological father is not joining in the custody fight! He then can put in effort to cultivate trust & good relations with TJ & PP in his own way. We can see initially TJ almost capitulated a few times to NYS’ help, if not for his mean dad.

Like your point about NYS & his dad.

Perhaps, from her perspective, she had loved and also been hurt deeply (by the circumstances, by life in general, not necessarily by NYS), hence is too afraid to luv/try again. Somewhere along the show , think it was her voice over that said she used to think their love is good enough to withstand anything but the reality is, it is not the case. She said to PengPeng, if not for him, she wouldn’t know how to get by. She was in despair caught in a conundrum, & only managed to survive for the sake of PengPeng. So, I agree with her present stance upto EP18 regarding her relationship with NYS , at least until PengPeng surgery is over & on the road to recovery.

I don’t like & typically don’t watch melodrama but this one is great, fantastic acting etc.

Baaed on the trailer for Ep17-18, evil old Nie trying to discredit Tan Jing as a good reliable mother i think in order to get custody of pengpeng. $?$$hole man. Nie Yusheng better step up, defend & protect her this time. Perhaps, he wasn’t given a chance to do so previously but he can now. 7 years ago, if Tan Jing had told NYS what had happened to her family, his dad tried to pay her off to leave him & not disclose Nie’s company involvement with her dad’s business, but to what end? NYS won’t be able to come up with the money to compensate those employees injured & he would have to give up his medical study, as he would have gone against his dad’s wishes.
Subsequently, when Tan Jing tried to see/talk to old Nie again 7 years ago, the Nie’s secretary pushed the bank card containing $ to her & said boss Nie was not available. Thinking back, Tan Jing too wondered did she have a choice given the circumstances. Her fake husband told Nie Yusheng that the situation back then was untenable, they barely survived.

Yep, plus it was their former teacher who was in town & called/persuaded her to attend as he said he’s not sure when he can get to meet them (all the former students) again.

Wallace’s performance in this drama has been great, so natural, that I can only see Nie YuSheng. His performance at ep 15 is super awesome, what a performance! No words can describe his deep sorrow, regrets.
Another fact I like is when NYS learnt the truth that he’s PP’s father & what happened 7 years ago, he’s even more distressed over TJ having suffered so much than not knowing he has a son altho the latter is naturally a big deal for him too. This goes to show how much he never stop loving & missing her. He’ll need time to get to know his son. Me think his son is superb adorable & matured for his age; i feel like crying whenever he comes onscreen & being so wise.

Luv Zhan Yu’s characters in Cross Fire & Because of Love. He acted very well in both.

Agreed abt Nie’s father may want grandchild only. Saw YT preview ep 13-14 that Tang Jing’s husband asked Nie a very good question when the latter asked him to divorce Tang Jing. Tang Jing’s hubby is not a bad person, he’s just desperate to make money for them despite being scammed many times. He’s willing to divorce TJ but asked Nie whether the latter is willing to marry her. That’s a very good question & highlighted to Nie he must have honourable intentions towards TJ if he wants a future with her.

Think ML’s dad is involved in FL’s dad death, hence her fake hubby said that family owes her, prob also impacted her reason for breaking up with ML. Felt a bit off that ML’s dad willing to accept everything abt the son’s choices , mainly his career, no kid, wants the son to be happy, at least settled on a new partner of his choice for life but yet, asked the son to forget what happened in the past ie FL & did not ask the son to try & find FL while is clearly why the son remains single/lonely. FL’s boss is out for revenge on ML’s family perhaps as he could be ML’s illegitimate older bro. Thus, he’s a man on a mission, hence he can’t reconcile his relationship with 2FL. After a few years of hurt/despair, shouldn’t the ML think harder since he can’t get over the FL? FL’s present circumstances/actions or even back then do not gel with the materialistic person he was led to believe at the end of their relationship. Actions speak a thousand words. Guess this is what we call drama.
