Whoever is writing these sickass dialogues, you're doing lord's work. My jaw has not left the floor since episode one, and you come up with another banger of a scene? WHAT WAS THAT LAST SCENE, HOLY.

Hooo boy, that was a roller coaster ride fs.
I'm so glad they aren't dragging the angst. I would take angst any day, just not here.
Also the whatever named guy needs to GO. He gets under my skin istg.

I literally skipped the part where seo ri falsely confesses infront of him in the historical timeline. I couldn't bear to the see the disappointed look in his face. But my guy still went along with it😭. I hope he soon realizes the truth.

a big shout out to the designer for keeping the character's historical roots in mind. i only now noticed the fl's preference for skirts over pants. it's a subtle but effective way of reflecting the era she comes from.

shot myself in the foot by reading the comments. not everyone has read the book, guys. use the spoiler tag, for god's sake.

anyways, so excited for this one. i’ve had the book in my tbr for so long, so idk if i should wait for this to come out or just read the book since that’s probably going to be more immersive.

"filing for love" had great openers ngl, but it soon lost its novelty for me with its painfully predictable and uninteresting dynamic. "my royal nemesis", on the other hand, only seems to get better with each new episode, so im not surprised it's gaining more traction; people have eyes. The only thing im both surprised and not so much after all about is that "we are all trying here"is still so underrated. But it's still a masterpiece for what it's worth.

I think we're underestimating how much the acting is actually elevating the show. This is top tier acting, especially when the standard required for a romcom is usually just average. This is my introduction to the ml's acting, so I'm pleasantly surprised by how refined an actor he is. He delivers the dialogue so vividly that you can feel it first hand. And the fl complements that acting with her own excellence. I'm honestly not surprised, having seen snippets of her acting in "the glory".
The cherry on top is the screenplay. From the pacing to the dialogue (which is so much fun to witness ngl), everything is so immaculate, which only adds to how seamlessly executed the entire show is.
Haven't seen a crowd pleaser like this in ages ngl (except maybe "lovely runner" ).

I'm glad they didn’t go with the early relationship route here. I want them to really sit with the plot and develop the dynamic long enough to avoid the inevitable breakup storyline.

I honestly don't think the ratings are bad for the type of genre it's serving. We've seen how non romantic shows perform on mdl, and the results are not pretty. This is doing fairly well with that in mind. On top of that, it's adapted from a webtoon, so there will naturally be some unimpressed and disappointed viewers in the mix.
As for me, I'm enjoying this loads.
