Imho, the first ep was mid. An eye candy experience, if you must. If you strip away the lead actors and replace them with others of the same acting calibre, this wouldn’t be getting as glazed lol. I’m choosing not to judge the acting yet since there’s only been one episode. But the drama is already so full of cliches that it’s honestly disappointing. So far it leans toward the same generic tropes we’ve seen in kdramas. I’m not against that. I’m just wondering if it will work for this drama specifically. I don’t want to sound like a forced critic, but the hype around this drama is so real that you can’t help but expect something new and extraordinary. So far it’s far from that. The production is appealing, but that’s as far as it goes. And yes, im talking about just the first ep. I’m hoping it proves me wrong as the story progresses.
idk exactly what it is about this drama, but it fills me with such melancholic optimism that I can’t ignore it whenever it appears on my page. the poster pretty much encapsulates that feeling.
i think this drama had a really solid start and that kinda increased my expectations. and unfortuantely for me that didn't work out very well because im bored now. is the main couple's dynamic different? yes. is it interestingly different? NO. everything is so...eh. like i get it you guys are a healthy couple and everything is fine. but why am i watching you? you aren't giving me anything to look forward to. in hindsight the secondary couple is quite lovely AND interesting. but i don't watch a drama for a secondary couple. but i really nice drama apart from that.
I honestly couldn't understand when and why he liked her....the emotional depth just wasn't there ( him crying…
i believe it's the scale of the show that might have convinced him to join this. and i bet he was paid just the same or even higher for choosing to do this. no wonder he caved in.
loved ep1 it's very nicely paced. loving the leads interaction so far. the only thing im side eyeing is the cgi. the ocean scene could've been cleaner. its looks unnatural but that's not a dealbreaker lol.
