I dislike litRPG genre as a whole but the comedy is really carrying the show for me. I don't remember the last time I laughed this much while watching a kdrama. This, my royal nemesis and we are all trying here, are the best airing shows right now. We are truly being well fed.
Three episodes in, and it’s already so entertaining. I knew the show was going to be a banger the moment they played Radiohead as the opener. we have one weak link in the cast, but i'll overlook it for now.
there’s no romance between the leads, so don’t be fooled by the tags. what the story does focus on is platonic friendship. the problem is, even that aspect isn’t particularly compelling. i didn't feel their friendship was special. and that's my main letdown. i don't really care about the romance but you should've at least given me a good friendship. there are a few emotional moments, but they felt far more underwhelming than i expected. i also don’t think there was any reason to introduce a terminal illness storyline. i’ve seen too many writers use that plot device as a crutch for weak writing, and this felt no different.
there were so many opportunities to explore the characters in greater depth, but instead we get something superficial that tries far too hard to sound somber and heartfelt while never fully earning those emotions.
i’ll admit i cried during the last ep, but that says more about me than the writing itself. im disappointed, tho i won’t say it’s not worth watching. just don’t go in with expectations as high as mine. it’s still a nice story.
That's a mistake from my part haha. It's indeed known as ORV. I've edited it now. Thanks for letting me know. And, yeah I agree the movie isn't bad per se.
This is insanely good!! I love the fl. And I'm surprised I haven't watched any of her previous works because the range she has shown here is crazy given its a romcom. I'm loving the expressions she is giving so far. Her body language is immaculate. Also the little mannerisms in the way is talks is a great detailing from her part. Overall I'm extremely impressed.
Honestly, i don’t trust big casts in action thrillers, especially in the zombie subgenre. I’d rather have a rookie cast with a compelling storyline than a superficial lineup of great actors with no substance to back it up. I’m still recovering from what happened with ORV. I don’t want this to suffer the same fate as ORV. Here, i feel like the cast is bigger than the plot itself. I just hope they give us a proper thriller. And please, for god’s sake, give us some good zombie scenes. i don’t want military combat everywhere, ugh. give me a lanky dude fighting zombies with a baseball bat, and I’m good. just let me feel that the stakes are high and there's no plot armor.
what a banger of an opening, dude. such interesting characters right from the get go. i'm an enemies to lovers fanatic, and this seriously hits the right spot. the ml is a spectacle to watch ngl. i was getting tired of the cold ml and its counterparts, so this feels like a breath of fresh air. this is what i call a romcom done right. I'm going to stop glazing it any further, it's only been one episode lol.
it was cute. way less thrilling than i expected, but i’ll give it its flowers for what it was. the fl’s acting felt a bit wobbly at times. I was a little too aware that she was acting. The scene where she found out about her daughter, for instance, felt underwhelming. Whereas the ml stayed pretty much consistent throughout, though his character wasn't very demanding in the first place. i wouldn’t really put it in the psychological category; to me, it leans more toward a straightforward drama. i did enjoy their back and forth, though the pacing felt slower than necessary. The scenes could've used more interesting dialogue, but they were decent enough. overall, a solid watch. nothing groundbreaking, but it doesn’t really need to be.
Where did he rehabilitate himself? Four episodes have aired, and in each episode he manipulates two girls. I think…
i haven't watched ep 4 so idk if he went back to his old ways but in ep 3 he didn't give yu gyeong any attention like he did with gyu ri. i still think he is manipulative but time will tell.

And hello? Give lu fang a better project because he is absolutely killing this role.
