this is already one of the best jdramas I have seen and I am still at ep 2. one of the best FLs ever. incredible natural acting from lead actress . I hope it's a HE I can't bear the thought of this kind of FL not having everything she wants by the end .

figures since my pp is from season1. the superior season 😂👑. it's really one of of the cutest scenes ever in dramaland . so much chemistry and so naturally acted. 🦊☣️ as for the rest, imo there are more problems than just what happened with CX like with the bad editing , cgi and the wars that were all just discussed between characters and never shown but all could have been forgiven if we got the emotional impact from CX's reveal like in the novel.
Now almost a week has past and the bitter taste in my mouth hasn't gone away. I can't believe how much I disliked the second season after waiting a year for it. I literally would have prefered not watching whatever watered down crap we got here and leaving me with the good memory that I had of season 1 atp, I am just too lazy to change my pp .
starting ep 59 and I can't believe they just "scent of timed" me. This is ridiculous. I held hope till the end that the script rumor was false because this is just so anticlimatic and destroys the best thing that made the novel. I don't even feel like continuing this tbh.
I recommended this to my friend who never watched a chinese drama (or an asian drama that is) in her life. and she is at episode 13 in her second day. Says it's very unrealistic and dramatic but too complling to not continue watching . I did warn her 🤣🤣🤣
I was becoming quite disenchanted with the drama the last few days but I'm back and fully onboard with these last 2 episodes. yang zi DELIVERED. what a powerful sincere performance. I shed tears and griefed with her the loss of jing all the way. which happens quite rarely for me cuz I rarely if ever cry watching dramas . The way she described jing to CX facing his denigrations was so powerful as well. at least the person he loved understood how incredibly rare and beautiful the inner strength he has. In reality CX, though an incredibly smart and wise ruler, seem quite small compared to him.
I hate that A'nian is hang up on CX. she deserves waaay better. especially when RS IS RIGHT THERE! But I'm glad he doesn't like her back. he doesn't need his heart to be heartbroken . he has been one of the highlights for me since forever.
Getting bored ngl.. the war episodes could have been exciting showing us at least one battle of Fenlong and Ru Shou facing off but nah we get cartoon drawings and brief aftermath descriptions by some of the characters. I thought this show had enough budget but even some scenes look cheap now.
I don't know but I feel that there has been a drop in quality in season 2 all around. I don't remember the dubbing was this bad before either.
I have been reading the novel . I am at chapter 130. and I really can't see how this will get adapted. the FL and ML both do VERY questionable things..a lot of crazy people all around it isn't at all believable . they have to water everyone down immensly for this to pass censorship. so curious to see how will this pan out
The ending was great. I was worried I'll get pranked like in scent of time but it wasn't the case. maybe this opens the door for time travel stories in the future without stupid gimmicks? Anyway, the final showdown between ML and SML was pretty epic. I feel pretty good about everyone's fate. especially the FL's. Will rewatch once better subtitles are available.
Like give my girl XY room to breathe. at least 2 episodes of her being happy. It was quite incredible seeing XY glowing after finally reuniting with jing. the breakup really took a toll on her and she was depressed for years. But then we have her again on the brink of a breakdown because of that rumor.
I think it follows closely to leak..but there are some adds...but i havent read whole thing yet..anyway i think…
In that case I am afraid because the script ruins CX's character. the reveal about his actions is one the best things in the novel. if we don't have that in the drama . it will feel quite inferior to the novel. crossing fingers that they don't do that.
can someone who read the leaked script tell me whether it's following it or not? till now it is following the novel with some minor variations. so I hope they won't ruin it by going with that script.
