I don't think his character is bad written. I think people who say that are used to an OP ML. Instead what we got here is a flawed ML. and a human one. Not the strongest nor the sharpest، but resilient and intelligent enough. his flaws are many but his strength is being kind hearted, compassionate and sociable to draw people towards him. it would explain jin fan and the others devotion. imo he is the embodiment of a charismatic leader. and I am rooting for his journey all the way . wanna see him succeed in becoming the best SW.

All the Gong men are so bad at investigating atp. They all go from a conclusion based on emotions (often hate/jealousy when it comes to the brothers and blind love when it comes to ZY) then try to back it up with evidence.

That's why I love his character. He is the most compassionate one in the room by far.

I am not fully onboard the first couple yet. I find some scenes of them dragging sometimes and can't wait for the big reveal.
I prefer them infinitely to second couple though at least there is some positivity in their interaction. ML actually respects the FL and the FL despite still being a mystery but she at least shows some moments of being genuine. tbh this is the first time I wouldn't mind if the ending isnot them ending up together. but ideally FL gaining her freedom and ML becoming a great SW. for second couple I wish they both die lmao .

OK now I'm really getting annoyed with second couple. GSJ being a sexist bully x SQQ submissive act is just getting too old. There is literally zero chemistry between those two. imo, their ship will only get interesting when they actually publically turn on each other.
