Wow, this is comprehensive! Thankyou. I'm always looking for C-drama recommendations as there's just SO MUCH content. Admittedly I've been avoiding "The Oath Of Love" because I donβt like the main poster - the character he plays, to me, looks so arrogant in it - staring off, whilst she cuddles in π€·ββοΈ - this seems like such a lame excuse π , but you've convinced me to give it a shot.
Should i continue Watching it? I'm on episode 2. Honestly, I find it really boring. The comedy side is not funny…
It sort of improves after ep 2, but it is a very 'cute' (aegyo) story. It is pure romance and not in any way challenging. All complications get resolved pretty quickly (within a couple of episodes). If you are after a purely cheesy romance with very pretty actors, light comedy, no real challenges, and a happy ending for ALL, keep watching.
The aegyo in this drama is very very cringy! It's not only you kkk. Still it was like it from the start so they…
I think I agree with you about it being in character, but that probably makes it worse for me π¬. The idea that 30+ year olds legitimately behave this way is horrifying π I'm really enjoying KSS, but based on the comments page it's pretty polarising- love it or loathe it π€·ββοΈ (the aegyo is brief - only in 1 episode so far)
Why does the aegyo portrayed in this, make me feel really, really uncomfortable (especially from Ho Young, but also between Han Byeol and Tae Sung); when I find the aegyo in Kiss Sixth Sense cute and hilarious π€π€¨π§?!? Anyone got any clue/opinions?
Extremely boring, I don't know what is it about Korean action dramas but they just don't hit. Might be me because…
Just wondering π€...what made you watch this at all? It's so specifically a political thriller and definitely doesn't meet your brief (young male, light, happy, unromantic). I'm so intrigued!
Finally getting this off my Netflix watchlist whilst I wait for Bloody Heart to finish airing. I LOVE Kang Ha Na in these badass roles. Actually the whole cast is just everyone I love in K-drama land. π
Finally finished.. I found it pretty charming and an easy watch...minor spoiler π
I found the female characters in this, refreshing. Even when they're in opposition, they're not sociopaths. And they resolve their differences and become friendly, like many real humans I know. Makes me think the writer has actually interacted with real human females π€―
To be fair, although it's indirect, you should probably mark your comment as spoiler.
Sure, true. But this isn't Reddit π€·ββοΈ...not trying to be confrontational at all, but MDL users can be very upset if anything is given away. Plus it makes it at least an option for readers.
Ha ha, thank you...I don't know about that but sometimes you just have to shake loose to keep you from going under…
You are a freaking wonder woman! β€ It's awesome that you and your partner balanced everything. Raising children is freaking hard (and premature babies!!) I hope she's well now too.
it is not makjang. makjang only deals with high society socialites and their shenanigans.
Exactly π Plus the whole dead parents killed in weird circumstances, sister of the dead person is my girlfriend, corruption of entire surgical staff, and prison officials, Rachmaninoff accompanied slow-mo, overly exagerrated physical acting with zero facial expression, extravaganza that this is. Pure Makjang π

Makjang is over the top, stretching believability. melodrama. It doesn't have to be high society necessarily. IMO the 1st 2 eps of this definitely fit.
Is there a synopsis somewhere that describes this as 'Makjang'? It's screaming melodrama to me π€·ββοΈ It's not in the tags but I think if you go in with that in mind, it makes the WHOLE presentation far more palatable. Plus Shin Sun Rok - king of Makjang! Seems to me to be a big clue.

I could never quite put my finger on whatvtroubled me about "You Are My Spring", but I think you may have clarified it for me. I think I just kept thinking of the ML as being pre-transplant to make it 'fit'.
Doctor Lawyer has started screening this past week with a whole Makjang (IMO) transplant fiasco. I would LOVE to hear your opinion! It's looking very much like a plot device to set up the drama...
