Bugger, that means Australia may not get it either
Australian Disney+ has been getting many K-Dramas at the same time as Hong Kong, Malaysia and within 24 hours of airing in South Korea. Maybe because we're nearly the same timezone 🤷♂️, but I would recommend you check it again.
I usually skip the opening and closing credits of C-dramas, because they're often full of spoilers, as well as being looooooooooong. But the opening on this is mesmerising.
Will the subs get better? Alot of things seemed disjointed or didn't really make sense. Really want to watch it…
Subs on Viki have definitely taken a turn for the better at ep5. I think the subs group has had more time to get the later episodes sorted so 🤞 it'll be like this from here on.
Despite the tags "sassy" and "strong," female lead, Dan Oh is still so frustratingly passive! I really REALLY hate the old K-drama trope of FL being dragged by the wrist whilst she stumble-jogs behind. Like she can't decide for herself to leave a situation! Totally infantilising! GAHHH!! I came late to this, but I think I might have to leave early....but they're all so, SO PRETTY 😫
Thanks! I was reading comments to decide whether I should watch it or not .
I agree with Love movies. This drama is well worth it. It probably isn't for everyone; it starts slowly and is quite contemplative but dialogue rich, despite being quiet. It is very much a grown up show, with very complex themes around family, love, life expectations (among many) But it creeps up on you. I'm not sure exactly which episode it happens, but suddenly you'll find yourself thinking. "Oh my gosh this is SO GOOD" If you are a fan of "My Mister" - it's the same screenwriter - DEFINITELY give it a go!
I've just recently started this, so only up to Ep 5, but seriously, how does anyone keep going past here? The…
I really like how positive everyone's comments have been - thankyou! I've posed these kinds of questions in the past, on other drama pages, and been absolutely slammed. I'll be back to see how the story evolves! ❤
Yes, everything you've said here is correct: ML indeed is a jerk. But look pass that jerky face and words, you'd…
Thank you for this. I've watched through to ep12 now, but your comment has helped me decide I might put this on hold. I think I'll wait to hear how the issues are resolved. It seems I'm the opposite of you. I really struggle with characters like this ML, being romanticised, the way they often are in stories - not just Chinese dramas! I like a more idealised romance 😄. I just don't think having a somewhat positive motivation for your abusive behaviour, is a justification - I actually find it really disturbing. But that's my drama 😁
in my experience, shows with characters like that serve the basic and one-dimensional role of portraying a certain…
Sure. I can handle single-dimensional characters to a point, but I prefer dramas that treat viewers with intelligence... So I guess that's part of my question. I'm guessing from many other comments, that the characters and the plot, evolve to be more satisfying.
I've just recently started this, so only up to Ep 5, but seriously, how does anyone keep going past here? The narcissism, infantilising, undermining, deflection, gaslighting and more, Ning Meng is subjected to. By multiple characters, not just Lu Ji Ming. I'm not sure I'm in the right head space right now, to keep going. Is the payoff later, worth the abuse now?
Is this really one of the best korean dramas of all time, like many comments/reviews say?
Best of all time is DEFINITELY not the case, but it is entertaining and well acted. Where have you seen those reviews? I keep wondering if the reason it's been so well received in SK is because it's just very timely. It's addressing issues that are forefront in SK right now 🤷 (I don't actually know, I am just wondering too!?!)
What. I don't understand why Do Be Man revealed he has a witness (episode 9), it was obvious something would happen…
I had the same thought at that point too - Why do they keep giving away their advantage, when they know the enemy is untrustworthy?!? It seemed utterly stupid to me too. But it plays out ok in the end.
I came late to this, but I think I might have to leave early....but they're all so, SO PRETTY 😫
If you are a fan of "My Mister" - it's the same screenwriter - DEFINITELY give it a go!
But that's my drama 😁
I'll stick it out a bit further
