During episode 30, I already guessed what happened to his sister hence he killed all those merchants. Unfortunately I was right.
Definitely one of best cases in Season 3.

I really love Wei's wife and she deserves her own series.

Wasn't the killer bird thing the retired emperor's idea like what he did at the end of Season 1? I think it's implied and he blamed it on the eunuch but I am not 100% sure

It's not the actor's fault. He brought his best to lackluster writing.
I recommend Mysterious Lotus Casebook which was my Cheng Yi drama and made me become a fan. It has mystery, humour, friendship, bromance and very slight romance. The show rating is also very high.
