I have never seem the actress in anything because I don't watch that many c-dramas. I did find her character annoying and I'm only up to 3 yet. But I like ZRY so I'll continue when I have the time and see if I can stand her. Usually I'll just go away and do some other stuffs when someone annoying or boring appear.

It's an open ending for the main couple. Initially I think it was sad but neither of them was dead so some said it could be happy ending. For the second couple sad, for the third couple happy ending. If you want me to be specify clearer, I will. I make it vague here

Yes. I think his acting has improved from earlier shows. There's still room for improvement but he's much better than before. I think for each newer show, his acting improves.

Yes, I actually know William from Mystic Nine and has been following his dramas after that.

For WC, like others said "Mystic Nine" and "Love Lost in Time". I personally like "Age of Legends" which is a modern action drama.

Watching quality drama is good. I think I am going to check the top 100 C-dramas as rated in MDL. This show is number 88 so not bad

Yes, 48 episodes. I actually don't watch many cdramas. Just the ones I find the premise interesting enough like "Joy of Life" or "Ancient Detective". And since William doesn't make that many dramas in a year, it's still OK to watch. I don't watch his older stuff before Mystic Nine as it seems the stories were too tragic or too long or not interesting :)
Ah yes, I heard that Yang Min cares about quality, that's why I was interested especially paired with William.

I agree the child actress was really good. Also there is another girl in the mid 10-th episodes called Salia who was really good as well.

I also watched because of William, was interested in Yang Mi because she's famous. The Emperor often stole the show although I still like the leads acting. It's up and down in term of pace, when things get boring, they lured us back in with some plot points. I think it started to pick up pace around 30.

I guess it's really not rated for the quality of the shows.

Neither do I but it's well deserved. Although when I want to check a show, I check the rating first so somehow it matters for new viewers.
