I’m not defending the character but I think he’s trying to protect her.
Yes! He seemed genuinely shocked to hear her refer to her actions as trivialities when he saw it all as her putting her life on the line. His question of whether she could think of herself for once clearly shows how much he worries about her. And honestly, I don’t think she’s ever thought of it that way until he mentioned it.

Yes! This is what gives me hope for him. He seems to be able to assimilate any new information he gets about her and act accordingly. I believe he genuinely has her best interests at heart but goes about showing his concern in a typical clumsy “I am man/listen to me/I know what you want and need” way 🙂 I see him slowly evolving. He opened up to her as a means to have them on equal footing wrt secrets and said thank you and went on his way after she rescued him rather than his usual way of berating or threatening to expose her etc.

I love him honestly lol

Interesting comment!!!! However, something tells me Seok Jeong might not be as ‘devoted’ of a husband/partner…
I hear what you’re saying BUT I also wonder if the love story 15 years ago was also an escape for him from his father’s clutches. He knew his father would have plans for him and like you said, why not contact his mother even once in all his time away? (Maybe he was made to believe she wouldn’t appreciate it or maybe he did and his father intercepted them?)

Interesting comment!!!! However, something tells me Seok Jeong might not be as ‘devoted’ of a husband/partner cos he’s got some modern thoughts lol More of a “you do you and I’ll do me” kind.

With Soo Ha I see the potential of him learning to let go and be confident that she can take care of herself and he only needs to step in when she wants him to.

Men! Sigh. 😂😅

I Am curious why SJ is back now of all times though….

The pacing of this series is so well done. No unnecessary drama, no annoying second leads, no filler scenes. Kudos…
And I love the editing! So well done. Events unfold systematically and you can gauge the time of day in which everything happens which appeals to me a lot! (For eg - ML meeting FL at Myungdoo Inn and then going to see the King in that rental shop, the MyungdooInn proprietress coming to collect FL after the gathering which is why she came down the steps with her and her white over-gown, etc)…

Yes! The read-between-the-lines dialogues are so intense! Also her telling him that if he needed a baduk
player who yessired him all the time he would end up cutting out a lot of tongues 😅 She thinks he was the one who ordered the previous player’s death I think (that old Prince guy)

Yes, I think the reason the Queen Dowager looked distressed because Lee In had a search party to look to Mong…
It could also be that Queen mum is worried that MongWoo might be someone that could get close to the King not necessarily romantically but more so politically. After all, she was one of the people who made sure that he sat on the throne and I am sure she knew how close he was to Mong Woo before. The Queen seems to be related to the Queen mum or one of the other Ministers or something. I believe this could also be why the King discredited and condemned Mong Woo to be banished before as he knew his uncle and everyone else would be watching his moves.

Yes! I thought this too! The whole “uh ho!” and “So”. Don’t think they were so forward even in the west…
😅😂 Beau-ti-ful

What the fish biscuits?! People would think he’s gone unhinged and stone him to death or something 😂😂😂

He played Lee Min Ho’s character’s “father” in City Hunter and your description suits him in that too!
Oh is it????? He’s such a charming fellow! Looked up some of his old photos and he was star material even back then!

Thank you!!!! Yes, I thought the bar-scene was an after-life event as well and that Myungha had already died by then. Your post and the one above puts whatever little confusion I had to rest 🙂☺️🙏🏼💜

And didn’t it seem like he purposely mentioned Mong Woo’s name out loud?
I know 🤣 And the scene with him sitting smack bang in the middle of all “his women” while talking about the “man” he admires was hilarious!

Ooh thanks for this! It was pretty confusing with all the choppy edits so I didn’t get that it was a transmigration story! Just thought the timelines were going back and forth. Planning a rewatch so this will be helpful!

No worries 🙂 I looked at it this way - what he thought the mission was (ie Make Cha Yeo Woon Happy) is what actually led him to his death as he never thought he deserved love or to be loved. However, what the mission actually was (is Make Tae Mmyung Ha Happy) is what eventually made his life after death so bright and beautiful (even the light and color is different).

It’s grating on my nerves that her feminie clothing has such high collars whereas her masculine ones don’t! When the king meets her at the baduk game and whispers in her ear, I am like “Yup. He definitely thinks you’re a man” lol

I am.... confused! Can someone explain what happened in the last like... 3-4 episodes? lol I must be stupid!
From what I understand, Myung Ha had actually died after meeting his mum as an adult (he walked into the sea). Whatever is happening in the game is a whole after-life situation where he is experiencing opening himself up to love and relationships which he wasn’t able to do earlier cos of his trauma from his mum abandoning him. The sunbae is some mythical/mystical being who’s teaching him to choose himself and accept all the love he’s getting
