I was waiting for this drama, because I liked the trailer. Also, I wanted to see Dilraba in badass role, and I was looking forward to see Liu Haikuan as Situ Langlang. I think 1st episode was fantastic, several following ones a bit worse, but about episodes 7-8 I was totally hooked. I also didn't expect that all side characters will be so cute, so it's fun to watch all the scenes, not only with the main ones.

What feels also weird for me in this spoiler, is another spoiler which looks believable, that Hao Du will first refuse marriage, because he thinks he is inferior. This matches actor's interview. My theory was that emperor found out about the contest, everyone 's talking about that, so he orders Leyan and Hao Du to marry, but Hao Du doesn't want Leyan to marry him only because she has to + inferiority complex => refuse at first. But how! can he refuse! if she is pregnant? No way. Also, before the wedding Leyan will be kidnapped or attacked again (she will have a bandage around her neck) and Hao Du is supposed to take care about her, so... is she already pregnant then?
