That's great! I think not all were so thoughtful, and I sometimes read quite hateful comments about both of them, when first ~15 episodes were airing.
I found ministers' interactions funny and witty, though I couldn't tell who was who for at least 15 episodes too :D

It's ok to like his dad, Du Ruhui is a well-known and respected historical figure. I think only international audience could be fooled in the beginning of the drama, when Du Ruhiu and Li Shimin were shown as possible villains. Chinese fans, I guess, knew the other side of the story at once.

I think there is no need to compare or down-grade any couple. Everyone can ship both or just one of them (or all four of them), and discuss their couple, respecting all others.

IKR! I didn't understand if that post which first had description about Leyan's pregnancy was an official one or from some group/supertopic. But it didn't feel like a joke. I hope they cut it out only from interview, not from the drama, lol.

I have no idea! They seem to be not really worried about that, maybe it was an accident. Like she wanted to hug Haodu while he was practicing with the sword, lol.

Still a lot of not spoiled scenes to watch (I hope!). Maybe even some angst, as fan theories about Haodu refusing to get married didn't pay off, but there is still that scene with haoyan and emperor where they don't look much happy. And Liu Yuning said that wedding will be a bit depressing. (evil smile)

Haha, I saw this on weibo, but was too lazy to translate. Chinese shippers indeed don't really sleep, especially on Monday nights.

Yes, he worked for Li Shimin, and they should have been seeing with Leyan from time to time. In ep 1 he didn't like that she saw him killing someone, his face expression changed from cold to worried for a moment. And as for the game scene, I think he both didn't like that Leyan was with Wei Shuyu, but also that Shuyu made funny comment to Leyan about Haodu. I feel like it wasn't the first time Shuyu was mocking him, that's why when political situation changed and Wei's family became disgraced, Haodu got it even. Sweet revenge, lol. But it didn't last long, and seeing Shuyu really sad (about Changge) and then ill, made Haodu show his kind self even to Shuyu, whom he truly disrespected.

The fight wasn't bad, but they could indeed make it longer. I see it as him loosing his determination after noticing Wei Shuyu, but gaining it back when Leyan ran to him.
Hope for some more epic scenes with him! Who cut Leyan's neck? Is that person still alive, lol?

Oh, some fans have ussues with the fact that he didn't start looking for her immediately, but I actually like that! My belief is that he liked her, but didnt love her yet. He also didn't expect her to be missing for so long, so his anxiousness was growing every time he lost her trace. And when they meet, you can see him falling for her really fast with no chance to escape, haha.

I think he never thought that he would feel all these feelings to Leyan, he liked her back in Chang'an but it wasn't something serious. So he was just doing his job, and being a private person. But when all the feelings poured him after he found Leyan, he just couldn't keep his softiness inside anymore :D

From the previews, he and Leyan are so supportive to each other after the fight events, that it hurts!! Leyan is such a clever girl, seeing through his inferiority complex and challenging it. And I love the way she looks at him in preview of another field scene and when he helps with her wound [I feel a strong s*xual tension there, ahhh]

He should appear again in episodes 45-49.

He is very caring and supportive for his beloved one, as nearly all other men in this masterpiece which is Long Ballad. Too supportive at some point, literally pushing Leyan to another man, whom he thought she loved, but that was a temporary mental breakdown :D

I deeply respect A'Sun and find him more mature, he is such a delight in many aspects! But somehow I fell for Haodu from his first scene, when I thought he would be the third wheel, protecting Leyan but never getting her heart. When I understood he was the endgame, I was like: go, Haodu, go!!!! His fighting scenes are so badass, but then when he gets all soft, it's absolutely heartbreaking.
