They.... were a bit different from the usual dramas aren't they?
I am still trying to recover from that and I hit episode 1 of this. Well it will sure make for interesting viewing. The army decor which I am used to but set in a crazy crazy world.
I am just trying to imagine the script the cast got before they got their jobs.
Hah. I didn't even know I was in the mood for a bitchy snarky female lead until Sin Seo Ri.She is not even bitchy…
When was this filmed? Last year? I see cherry blossoms and it was only blooming last month. Its hysterical. Who were the lucky tourists or lucky expat who were extras in that scene?
I came to check it out because the title cracked me up. Your comments have now made me laugh. I won't be watching this but thanks for the laugh. I thought it was a translation issue but it is really pregnant by the CEO. I am wiping actual tears. This is too funny.
whenever i open the comments at night after i finished the episodes, all people write about ml is mature mature…
I don't comment about the ML because I don't need to. I wrote an embarrassing reply where I gushed about him.
It is a rare drama where the male lead looks like a male lead and are age appropriateto their role. I just dropped another drama where the male actor is trying to be about 16 years younger than his age.
I started this based on the positive comments. I am just taking a moment to pause because I am cringing so hard on the female lead's behalf. That is not the way I want my first impression to be for anyone.
Li Meng is here? Man she gave me PTSD already in episode 1. The Princess was crazy in The Double.
@greenblood_spock. Thank you for the photos. I am low key obsessed with finding a male lead that looks like a man as in he actually looks as if he can be the hero. Couple with the strong acting, good writing and beautiful costumes; am totally obsessed with this drama.
I just want to watch something entertaining daily and its a lot harder than one things just to find a good drama.
Did we have a 3 year time skip? They mentioned the mourning period.
Then there was a 2 month jump. Then we have the whole rebellion plot in ep 16- 17. We also have the Shanxi business.
Looking at episode 18's trailer- people seemed to have matured. She is 18 years old in ep 1. So she has to be closer to 20 in ep 18 right? I mean look at what she said to the ML. He switched or was promoted again right?
Holy cow. I just saw the trailer for ep 18.Is it 2 episodes tomorrow or 1? I will need to hold off until episode…
Oh. I actually appreciated episode 15; it was just beautiful. There have been sadness in countless dramas but I really like the lingering sadness throughout the episode. The cinematography was beautiful- am talking about the mourning decor. The imposing coffin and the fact that the mourning hall was almost always occupied. It takes art you know to emphasise the sadness without going into histrionics or overdone cliches. The lighting was always bright enough. I felt immersed in melancholy.
I don't like melodramas and I don't like wailing death scenes or ridiculous crying scenes in any of my dramas. So I actually appreciated the very nice piece of directing and writing. The acting in this drama has been excellent throughout which is why I have never even whined about any scene. The cast has great chemistry with each other. Everyone fits into their roles. There are no jarring moments. No one looks as if they had a too modern look. Their hairpieces all look natural. The styling has been great in this drama.

How am I supposed to wait after what we saw in ep 21's trailer?
My stress levels just went up.
She is not even bitchy like the usual spoilt rich females in other dramas.
She is the unhinged, clever, manipulative females who are actually not that clever in other dramas; but the writers made her all that but more clever.
I spotted in ep 19 and 20. Is she a main lead sort of actress or support role? I swear I saw in another drama in a support role recently.
I've rewatched the Miles what'shislast name romance with her several times.

And even Ye Xian?
Thank you for posting. Its going to be an exciting week. I prefer the one with the yellow background. Its more graphic.
No novel spoilers please or hide it. I won't read the novel. I don't mind coming here and have ZERO interest in how the novel characters did.
I prefer to be surprised and thrilled at the moment WHEN ITS ON THE SCREEN.
Thanks.

Leave the plot as a surprise. Too many spoilers will spoil the mood.
