YAY! *throws confetti* Take that idol dramas! This one is gonna shine! I hope this gets them all more opportunities…
Yeah surprisingly even though a lot of dramas don't do well in their homeland, they do exceptionally well internationally. I believe LYST did great internationally not so well in China, which sucks, because it was really good.
That’s great news and well deserved! Thank you for sharing this with all of us. It’s a bit disappointing that…
I hate that, that is why I refuse to trust Douban ratings as well. It is nothing but a popularity contest. I rate all dramas after I watch them. If I drop them, I rate based on what I watched, if I rate them at all. If I really like a drama I will rate each episode as well on MDL.
I watched up to episode 9. An old costume drama that I want to watch till the end, which is rare these days. Because…
I agree with you. This is the first drama I have watched of Feng Shao Feng's since The Story of Ming Lan, cause all I see when I look at him is Gu Ting Ye, his performance in that is incomparable to any that he could do. I am also wondering, is his voice dubbed by someone else in this drama, cause it just seems so stoic (which I know is kind of his character), but I don't know if I really like it. I prefer the voice in TSoML. I actually like him in this role as well, it is why I am still watching it and the story is really good and intriguing, but I don't think anything will beat Gu Ting Ye for me.
I also agree with your assessment of the other actors as well.
Started out pretty good but the pacing is off and way too rushed. Too many things are happening at the same time…
Agree! I thought he was cool just the way he was. There isn't always room, imo, for several different love stories and with so few episodes in the series, we didn't need anything other than the main couples story. Today's episode just kind of brought me down, after enjoying a lot of the previous ones. I actually fast forward through a few scenes and just watched the important ones.
so fast that it probably broke records; at least from all the cdramas i've watched so far, main couple usually…
or the last 5 minutes of the entire drama (K Dramas are notorious for this, well more like get together then leave the country for several years, then meet again in the last 2 minutes of the episode)
I thought Bu Qu would cut his hair, not hers. Man, do Not touch woman's hair..grrrrDid you see the trailer for…
Right, me too on both points....not quite sure about hating the grandma yet, I am hoping she has her own agenda in mind, but I don't like knowing that it looks like she knows what is going on, that part I hate.
The TJC and ZY kiss lasted awhile and looked way heated. I am absolutely loving her with Arthur Chen, they look like they have some amazing chemistry as well. I think she is going to be a talent to watch.
Yeah, I don't know if I like it or not. I am taking it as they skipped so many days so they have had a lot longer (a lot more time )than I think they have to fall in love (that we didn't see). I like both couples, but the 2nd couple's story is more my favorite right now. Also, being only 24 episodes and there are 2 main couples, to get all the story in, they probably wanted to get the "in love" part out of the way.
I haven't really even heard of You are Desire (or if I did, it didn't catch my interest), but I dropped Snow Eagle Lord as well. I have been so disappointed with Xu Kai's dramas lately. They haven't been able to keep my interest. I hope Wonderland of Love and As Beautiful As You will be better. Also really looking forward to his collab with Yang Zi.
I also agree with your assessment of the other actors as well.
