he learns the truth in episode 9, I really didn't like his reaction to it, but ehh, there are a lot of things…
lol I finally finished kind of skimmed the last two episodes (a lot of fast forwarding), but omg this has to be the most tropiest trope I have ever witnessed. Just missing knowing each other in childhood and the white truck (although there was a vehicle hitting the ML but not the white truck).
kdrama writters need to stop with this love triangles trope just a delusional fantasy this drama had potential…
i think the second fl is very smart too. I like how she basically told the second ML if the FL were into him wouldn't she have shown it by now? second ML be dumb, he needs to be smarter for his kid.
i'm on ep 8 and is dropping it. at this point its too frustrating. SHE chose to lie and continue to lie and she…
he learns the truth in episode 9, I really didn't like his reaction to it, but ehh, there are a lot of things kind of going off the rails now. I am on episode 11, so luckily only a few more to go.
The sister and her fiancé are MIA for the rest of the drama. If you are looking for some closure on that storyline,…
thank you for your response and that is ridiculous, I can't believe her sister would never come back, especially after the ML paid off the thugs and at least to check on her own mother.
Also, I understand why a lot of people did not like the second half now. From some of the spoiler comments about him getting amnesia. Why do they wait til the last episode? I mean he got hit upside the head really hard by a vase and left in a smoke filled room with a fire and came out fine? No scratch, no blood, that was a bit weird, and no amnesia from that. I am still only on episode 11 so a few more episodes to go.
I am on episode 5 and so far I am really enjoying this. The acting is really great.
One thing really can't stand about a lot of these Asian dramas (this is probably cause I live in the US) is that these loan sharks go after family. The debt her sister and fiancé made, they are demanding she pay it off, kidnapping her and threatening her. Is that not illegal in S. Korea or anywhere else for the matter? Does this really happen or are they dramatizing it for the sake of drama? I see it on a lot of these dramas how they go after family members, even family members that don't have much contact with the person that put themselves in debt. It is really aggravating to see that. And then said family member wears themselves out to try and pay that debt.
And on the above note, for those that have watched this drama to the end, does the sister and her fiancé ever show back up (other than the time she listened to the voice mails)? Also, I thought the sister's fiance's family were rich (that's why she made up that story about the FL working in the US)? Why didn't they pay off his debt? or Why didn't the thugs go after his family, as well? You can argue that the sister took out the debt, but the thugs showed up at the wedding looking for him at first, they were in the bathroom while he was hiding in the stall talking about looking for him.
I hate unanswered questions. I am so okay with spoilers. I am going to try and keep watching to the end, even though I have read a lot of the reviews of the second half. (even though I hate amnesia story lines)
I am on episode 2 and I can see now why some people commented on the editing. Hoping it gets better going forward. They definitely deleted and/or cut several scenes out. I am still really enjoying this series so far. Usually I will wait for a drama to finish before watching it, so I can binge, but I really wanted to start a new one, so will be watching as it airs.
That quote is pretty accurate. The FL & ML are evenly matched, not sure where the "crying mess" description…
Honestly, I have a hard time getting into Ci Sha as a male lead. He is an amazing actor and is absolutely great in fight scenes. I just personally don't feel the male lead vibes from him. Now I do like him and Ren Min's character as a couple, I can see that. I ended up fast forwarding a lot toward the end, cause the story wasn't keeping me captivated or intrigued. It dragged in some areas, but overall it was ok. I might go back and watch the second half a little more. I am currently re watching The Rise of Ning, until Mo Li (The First Jasmine) starts and builds up episodes.
The SML, I absolutely loved. His character was young, impulsive at first, but the actor was amazing playing that character, he had so much depth and did so well. I can't wait to see him in other things. I haven't really watched him before. I know he was in Perfect Match, but I couldn't get past the first couple of episodes for that. So I am looking forward to seeing him in more stuff.
I am the opposite. I really like the FL, my favorite drama of hers is The Glory. I am not that much of a fan of the ML, I think he always has the same facial expressions, not much depth.
That quote is pretty accurate. The FL & ML are evenly matched, not sure where the "crying mess" description…
I am on episode 12 and I don't get that at all from the FL. Most of the time she is begging and/or kneeling in front of the ML it is because she was begging he let her grandmother off of her responsibilities (if you watch you will know what I am talking about) and/or thanking him for saving her life. There was one time she did beg for her life, but he was never going to kill her in the first place, it was a ruse because someone was listening in to their conversation. The FL is really smart and catches on quick. I don't know if I would consider them equal footing, yet, maybe when they spend more time together I will see it, but not yet.
I will say this it isn't my favorite drama I have watched and I will probably never watch it again. I love dramas where I enjoy it so much I look forward to re watching it, this won't be one of them. I would go on, but I will save that for a separate post when I finish the whole drama. I am on episode 12 as I mentioned and I am only continuing cause the characters are a bit intriguing and I want to see where the story goes.
I absolutely loved this drama. Between this and Shine on Me, it seems modern C Dramas are making a comeback. I…
Just wanted to say thank you for all the replies and the insights on your views of the best friend's storyline. It is nice to get a different view on what others think of the story.
I absolutely loved this drama. Between this and Shine on Me, it seems modern C Dramas are making a comeback. I personally prefer costume/historical C Dramas and modern K Dramas, but there have been some real good modern C Dramas lately and I am happy.
Although, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama, the story, the acting, and the chemistry, I only gave it a 9.0. My reason is because I really felt the story of her best friend and best friend's husband was completely irrelevant to the whole plot, it didn't add or take away from anything in the main storyline and usually there is some cross with a second story to main plots, but her husband's character was completely irrelevant in the overall story. I believe I read a comment that said they should have just had her best friend and Gong Huai Cong dating in the whole drama and I agree.
please don't take this the wrong way, but... Is it weird for anyone else that they keep using their English names when they are all of the same nationality and working in the same place? I think this is the first drama I have watched where they do that. I mean I am use to seeing it when they are overseas or mostly English is being used in conversation. Is this a new thing? Honestly just curious.
It's actually so refreshing to see a positive and supportive relationship between two mature adults, I'm loving…
Amidst A Snowstorm of Love. Same FL as this one but with Leo Wu as the male lead. I haven't watched it yet, because I still can't get past him with ZLS in Love Like the Galaxy, but after watching ZJM in this one, I might just watch it.
Earlier this morning, I posted the following in reply to a similar discussion about the PV and renewable energy…
I wish the US was more into renewable resources and energy and I love to see other countries' take on things. (Don't get me wrong I know we have quite a few people and companies trying to work on it, but.. ) I know with the US's current administration we will not be seeing progress like this for awhile.
Although, I am not huge into this type of storyline, so I do fast forward through a bit of it, but what I do gather and watch I am enjoying it and always learning new stuff no matter what country it is, is a good thing.
I’m in episode 22 and I already want to poke out these two mother daughter pretender eyes out…strong language…
what I don't get is NXG's father kept telling her he is staying with that woman because she is supposedly suppose to be dying where as NXG comes back and says, she has supposedly been dying for years now. the father seems somewhat smart, so why doesn't he check that stupid women's medical records and find out the truth cause we all know she is obviously lying or does the father just not want to actually let go of the woman
