Run do not walk to watch it if you need something with more going on that a cute slow burn romance. This is more in the Kinn Porsch realm, has some really over the top NC scenes, but where the story matters as much if not more than romance part of the drama.

For some it’s not BL without slide whistles and elephant sfx , fever sponge baths, awkward falls with prolonged stares, time travel, vampires, or step brother sex, and an episode 11 breakup. For the rest of us , there’s episode 2 of Ticket to Heaven and one of the most artistic final scenes we have ever seen.

I knew the cinematographer for Ticket to Heaven had to the same as Moonlight Chicken. Rath “you got game”

I agree. I find myself bailing 90% of the stories. But this one was special…right through the last scene.

I can’t believe it’s been over three years since I first watched this. The BL machine is a factory these days, but rarely does quality reach this level. It stands the test of time on rewatch and earns its place as one of the all time greats.

I really liked the series they starred in together before this one A bit after about one and a half episodes I have to be honest that my expectation was exactly how your review played out. So I’m OK with having dropped the series. I think you got this one down. Good actors need a great script and when it’s lacking performance suffers

I could not agree more. I feel my heart stuck in my throat more often with JBL’s They handle subject matter that doesn’t fit neatly into the BL formula so well. in the real BL world, relationships are messy. even the less dysfunctional ones just leave your feelings so emotionally uplifted from When it rains it pours, my personal weatherman, Tokyo in April, our youth to old fashion cupcake, love life in the line and at least it does others that don’t come to mind at the moment, pound for pound JBL’s are the best around

why do I love this so much. I mean we’ve seen this type of plot 1 million times before gotta hand it to the main leads and they even made us wait one ep longer than the ohm Nanon kiss from yesteryear.

She dies. But there’s a twist at the end of the final ep, making it more of a bittersweet ending.

I’m really excited to see how champ will direct Sea Keen. i will knock you got better and better each ep and has arguably one of the best endings I’ve seen in a BL. I think with these two actors the next series could be truly great i’ll leave the New bashing to others, mute love showed me, just how truly special these two can be with a great script and class a directing
