Sorry if WOL isn't doing as well as AJTL. But please don't praise just one cast member of AJTL *AND* put down everyone else. The characters are so well-written and the cast playing them very well.

While LSS is indeed pretty and is a good actress, I don't think she's carrying this all by herself. That's looking down on the efforts of all the other cast members, the directors, and writer. I happen to like all the other characters and their moments. LYN makes a charming and believable NYZ. Allen Fang is so funny as YSS. HDL is amazing as YY. CYW is an adorable puppy as YL. CHS is selling the unhinged LTG. WYZ's stoic face is perfect for QZ. LH holding those animals with care makes him good as the animal loving SL.

Exactly! RRY can defend herself but what if it was really just a doppel? That's how unhinged, out of control, and not normal he is handling his attachment to RX.
I can understand but I will not tolerate. I have hopes for character growth but I will not make excuses for this character.

Can you imagine him actually encountering a Ren Xin doppelganger? How he'd force himself on this person and turn her into a replacement Ren Xin? Creepy!

haters think they can infiltrate our little bubble of joy with AJTL. love the discussions going on here. very detailed and mature view points about the show.
maybe they are fans of other dramas that are not as good or talked about even if the leads are conventionally easy on the eyes

If RRY becomes nice to him, he will just cling to his obsession further "she's nice to me because i'm the most important thing for her" oh wait, that's what he thought of when she avenged him, right? so the best thing to do is to create that wall for him to have no questions about how she is not his woman. and then let NYZ take the elder duty of getting him back to the old Jiu'er disciple of RRY.

It'll be LTG's turn for character growth. Not everyone grows at the same pace. It would be too bland if everyone is mature and collected. But I have not lost hope in this character.
Just that I agree he's very annoying at the point and needs to hurry and grow up.

I'm thinking they purposely stopped at this point so we can stew at how annoyed we are with this character, so that they can write it as though earning back our belief in this character to which he will prove worthy of.
Or at least I hope that's where they are going.

I was going to ignore this person already. LYN works hard, worked hard for AJTL and delivers. That's not a "oohhh lucky you" thing. He got acknowledged for his efforts.
Person probably like dramas with pretty faced actors even if the writing and execution is so terrible, then they'll say so-and-so is actually a good actor but just got a bad script.

If you look at Asian history, the emperors of different countries are not in power simply by show of force but also has a divine right to rule. Couple that with the concepts of "names have power" and "thou shalt not use my name in vain".

I am currently at an existential crisis hahaha I created this profile basically for Korean shows and decided only recently to just use it as my asian drama/movie viewing account 😅 Chinese dramas are more accessible lately. It's the Japanese shows that are still a pain to get (legal) access to.
