I don't know how the MDL algorithm for ratings work exactly, but it must take the number of ratings into consideration. So a drama with a lower amount of votes will have a proportionally lower rating. There are so many underrated Chinese and Japanese Dramas because of that. BTW, the terms are actually ranked and rated, sorry for the blunder. Ranked includes all the dramas. If you use the search function for titles there is the option to sort by top rated and top ranked.

Yes, the manhwa has no romance contrary to the webnovel. The one who drew the manhwa (not the same as the author of the novel) probably decided to remove some of the subplots and details and focused solely on the revenge plot. According to the mahnwa , he was supposed to reject Hee Ah's advances right before he went into military service, but he silently allowed it in the drama. BTW the last scene in the mahnwa was with Hee Ah and PSM, not GyuRi.
