I love his silly expressions around her. He also appears serious and powerful in his other scenes, so overall I think he's a good actor. It's not the most aesthetically appealing couple but I do like their dynamics and they're believable as a couple.

I saw a couple of videos on bilibili hating on this drama before it's even made. They cannot think of a remake made of their childhood favorite drama. They think the cast is not as strong in acting as the cast of the original version and just the thought of one of their childhood memorable drama being tampered with is also not well received. I hope this drama does not get too much hate as it gets close to airing. I know Chinese Paladin 5 got a lot of hate when it was released.

Could be. I was just a passerby fan of TLB, I am not a fan of any of the other actors in TLB, I had a few discussions there but I didn't spend a lot of time on that page.

I thought they were friends, based on the BTS of last year's drama. TBH I'm not a fan of either actresses or their acting style and, I think acting wise they both can improve, but I must say I much prefer the acting of emotional and serious scenes of Reba. Many of the other popular actresses are not able to pull emotional scenes off and immediately look fake or get the mask of 'acting' when weeping. It immediately pulls me out of the narrative because it's so obvious that they're acting.

Yes, absolutely. They're great actors as well, all three of them playing complex characters seemingly effortlessly. It was my favorite historical drama of 2021 mostly because of the acting. And the soundtrack lol

Oh yes, I haven't been that impressed with action sequences since Six Flying Dragons. They were choreographed, performed and filmed so well, with the background music added to the mix. I especially loved Sun, Sher and Hao Du's scenes, app 3 actors nailed them!!!

I remember we both had quite the discussion on our opinions about the chemistry between the lead pair. I didn't feel the chemistry between them and you summarised all the ways in which you and other TLB fans felt the chemistry of the GeSun CP.

I think I will also rewatch TLB in the meantime. The fighting scenes are such a treat, I always return to them!!

My favorite is Sa Ding Ding's leaping fish, I currently have it on repeat. Although I also love Mao Buyi's As you wish as well, which is the one you've referred to in your comment, it's very minimal and emotional and pulls on the heartstrings. I wish they'd extended the ost, added more songs in part 2 . The ost seems too sparse for the collective 40+ episodes between part 1 and 2.

I saw some more scenes of luo luo and kong ming together in TBW and I am really loving their chemistry. Hope their story is romantic enough to shut the critics.
