I swear hand washing is the new form of intimacy now π I'm still not over Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi, and now they added another one to live in my mind rent free π
I didn't like how they portrayed her in the series; in the story, she's nothing like that.
The true villain of the story is Xie Yanfang. As for Deng Yi, he was initially on Xiao Xun's side, but later switched to Chu Zhao's side. At one point, he has a falling out with Chu Zhao, and Xie Yanfang takes advantage of this to try to kill him. However, Xiao Xun saves him, and they flee the capital to Xiao Xun's house. There, they attempt a rebellion, but Chu Zhao manages to quell it, and Yanlai kills Xiao Xun. Deng Yi is hit by an arrow from Chu Zhao, but does not die. By this time, she already suspects Xie Yanfang, so she fakes Deng Yi's death along with Xie Yanlai and sends them to live with her mother, who in the story is alive and is a mountain bandit. She returns to the capital and keeps an eye on Xie Yanfang, planning to keep him prisoner. However, things go wrong because he discovers that she has a mother and that she planned to leave, which he doesn't want. He ends up liking her, but doesn't show it, only wanting to keep her close. His plan fails, and Yanfang tries to kill Chu Zhao's mother's men and force her to stay in the capital. Xie Yanlai returns in time and saves Chu Zhao. A fight ensues, and Xie Yanfang is seriously wounded. Chu Zhao leaves with her mother, and Xie Yanlai returns to the capital to stop Yanfang from trying anything. Some time passes, and she decides to return and take the throne with the help of Deng Yi, her mother, and her father's army. In the end, Yanfang dies, Xiao Yu continues as emperor, and she goes to the border to live with Yanlai, where they even have a daughter.
in the novel, xiao yu's mom often praised xie yanfang as a role model, which made xiao yu admire him, but XYF…
uhhh he's not outright Bad like xiao xun, because he doesn't want to harm great chu but just gain more power so the xie clan becomes stronger. a very morally grey character!
Jasmine in Chinese is Mo Li, but still i prefer to called Mo Li.
θ«η¦» (MΓ² LΓ) [1].This is the title of the drama, which translates to "Never Leave" or "Do Not Part" ...I figured its a Word play...so now i like it
Bai Lu, Cheng Lei and Cai Zheng Jie have filmed for an episode of Hello Saturday as a part of MoLi/The First Jasmine's promotion, yesterday. As per the audience, Bai Lu and Cheng Lei have also sung MoLi's OST together live. Cheng Lei has also filmed an episode of Dormitories later, Bai Lu could not attend that due to a prior schedule. With this the variety show promotions of MoLi are done.
Now we have to wait for these shows and our actual drama.
Is it good?? I wanna start this after my exam tomorrow π
Plot is nothing special but most viewers here watch it for the romance. I love the slow Burn romance and the male lead here. He exudes this masculine energy that you donβt see in other idol actors. So in anothet thread here we were just talking about how he is the young version of takeshi kaneshiro
Just finished Veil of Shadows and this point makes me super sad ππ
It's technically a happy ending for Ji Ling & Lu Wu Yi, but I'm still really sad that "evil" Lu Wu Yi had to die in end. Saving her past self is definitely not the same as saving the present her, who is sadly the last Horcrux. She's Ji Ling's "Ah Wu". She went through countless time-loops to try to save him and finally died in his place. She stayed with the blind just turned human Ji Ling as a doll and even sacrificed one of her tails to save him. They went through so much together and not being able to save that Ah Wu is heartbreaking. Even in her last dying moments she was only thinking of Ji Ling, who couldn't be by her side. So yes, it makes me incredibly sad for that version of Ah Wu who couldn't be saved, because she is the one that deserves a happy ending the most ππ
