So are we in agreement that the biggest plot twist is that it's a happy ending? When I finished the last episode, I had to double check there wasn't something I missed LOL
They had me worried between ep 24-26 what with the whole "one of you must die and one is destined to kill the other". I thought it was going to be another FOF ending-
Episode 25 is epic! Thumbs up for GJM. Once again the plots were plotting , twisted and turned, and the scenes were beautiful as always. That A Wu was always A Wu and the sacrifice from both Lu Wuyi and Ji Can (I love all TJR's character but Ji Can omaigad, was truly ethereal, breath taking!) was an insane plot! And the bloody blade stabbing through the doll. Mind blowing! The scenes delivery never disappointed. And Tian Jiarui and Ju Jingyi were perfection! They slayed their roles and left no crumbs, while burning the roof with their chemistry.
Next with ep 26. It is truly a nice thing to just read about the ending, without watching the last episode first, like I always did. It usually reduces the fun. I am truly enjoying my slow watching now.
I’ve ended up writing a long ass review with the plot, characters etc, so I’ll try to keep it short here.
Watching this drama is like putting together a puzzle - you only see the final picture when all the pieces finally click into place. After crying an ocean of tears, I can safely say this story, for me, is like no other - I will forever love, remember, and recommend it.
More than anything, what stole my heart is the fated love story between Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi. Such a romantic, soft, sensual, die-for-you couple that will forever stay in my heart.
“No matter how the universe changes,I will always be by your side.” #team Ji Ling + Lu Wuyi always and forever!
Hands down my first 10/10 cdrama this year and Top 5 in my all-time favourites.
I wish we could have seen more of Wu Wangyan’s powers and fighting. It was somewhat frustrating seeing the supposed thousand year old fox being so helpless at times
Worth the watch? Definitely. Ending? You can say it goes both ways….. depending on what rocks your boat and how attached you are to the original people
Personally for me, that feeling of familiarity is amiss and doesnt feel the same so it feels bittersweet
It was a bittersweet ending for me because I despise mind wipes. You lose the character essentially because memories make us who we are. They never went through all those hardships and sweet moments alas they are at least alive I guess.
I had a great time watching this drama and I discovered TJR's charm and acting skills so that is always a plus. Will miss all the aura farming and cool power scenes. See you all!
Based on enjoyment and viewer experience alone, it's 10/10 for me.
I went in without any care for the director or any of the actors. This drama made me care, and I wanted to see them all happy. So this is a win for me 👍👍👍
