I watched 29 and I'm not sure what you're talking about lol can you give an example? I wasn't really paying attention…
I hope it's daytime wherever you are so you didn't wake up anyone when you screamed lol. When they started to appear one by one I was going yes yes yes yes like a cheerleader.
Unboxing done!😍 Forget the past heartbreak and getting ready to welcome a new one. 3 moreepisodes to go so I can finally scroll down and read the comments😭😭😭
I watched this drama because of Ju Jingyi. At first, I didn’t have high expectations, because I’d seen many of her previous dramas and didn’t really like her acting that much. But the set photos and previews all said her acting was great this time, and the director even said, “You’ll see a Ju Jingyi you’ve never seen before,” so I decided to give it a try.
However, I fell in love with the character Lu Wuyi starting from the very first episode. What shocked me the most were Episodes 23 and 24. Oh my god! Her acting was absolutely explosive. The immersion was so strong too—the sense of fragility was off the charts. I felt like I was hurting and exhausted right along with her.
And her eyes! They were so expressive! This is what people mean by “the light in the eyes is gone.” Seriously, at the very beginning, she went in with hope—her eyes were bright and full of hope. But as she grew weaker and faced failure after failure, her gaze shifted from determination to the despair of someone who has lost the will to live.
Every time she traveled back in time, it caused tremendous harm to her body. She became physically numb, yet you could still see her resolve and obsession in her eyes. Her acting was seriously so good.
To save her beloved sister, Ji Ling, and everyone else, she endured so much pain. If it were me, I would have given up long ago. But Lu Wuyi, this brave and pitiful little fox, never gave up. How noble she was 😭
Her eyes held unwillingness, heartache, courage, resolve, despair, and defiance against fate— but never self-pity.
She never saw herself as a victim. She didn’t wallow in misery just because she failed again and again. Instead, she grew stronger through struggle. Her bravery was the kind that kept fighting upward. Beyond her sincere love for the person she cared about, as a puppet, she also showed disdain for this world. She had this fierce spirit of “I will rise” and “I refuse to accept my fate.”
Her birth and her feelings were all created for her. Even when she was doubted—by her sister, by her loved one—she never felt sorry for herself.
Given her life from the moment she was born, she should have been deeply insecure. But when doubted, she didn’t use weakness to seek comfort, nor did she use her suffering to show off or gain sympathy. Instead, she understood the reasons why people doubted her, and swallowed her own sadness alone.
She is the only character in the show with no original cause, yet she bore all the consequences! I honestly cried so hard. I don’t even have the words to describe how sorry I feel for her, or how shocked I am by her acting.
Really! JJY has improved a lot. I’m really proud of her! 😭😭
OK, so I have officially found out that boo-boo can kiss very well. It didn't look like JJY was leading him and he could hold his own so definitely proud and it's his first kissing on screen so congratulations to him for that. I hope in future dramas there will be more of that I know in Burning Night there has to be since that's Republican era. I hope if there is an intimate scene that it goes a lot further than what we saw here. 💋

That scene was fantastic. I loved it. It was like the hero and his comrades coming in to help absolutely love that scene. I could probably rewind that scene a zillion times and when I wake up and I watch 27 through 29 I probably will lol I started watching 27 a little bit by. I seriously need to sleep cause it's 6 AM and all this chatting is like making me not sleep lol.
I think the one thing that GJM is allergic to more than an HE is an intimate scene without going off into the distance and blurred lights and what not. They could've really gone in for something more intimate at least have the JL take his shirt off so we could see his back unless he was too skinny or deepen the kiss or something. That man needs to learn happiness a bit, not just gloom and despair and what not. 😆😆😆
Yeah the bar was set so high lol. Unique plot, unpredictable plot twists, no love triangles, no annoying characters, an actual villain, peak romance, LIKE? 😭 Don't know how many years it'll take for something like this to come out again.
OK, well I will definitely have to wait until I get some sleep before watching episodes 27-28 and even though I saw 29 re-watching it fully with the battle raging but I still love the ending and I really don’t care about the DB score and I think I may give this one a rating that is very rare for me.
JL does retain his memories 🥹 The original script was
LWY: I feel like we've met before JL: Maybe, ... in a past life LWY: You're strange JL (smiling while holding back tears): Yeah, but I will always comeback to you
She smiled at me like I was a stranger - but that was enough...because at least, in that world without memories, her smile was still the same
JL: I bought her flowers, and she gave me raspberries - we exchanged gifts like 2 people meeting for the first time, even though I had known her mu whole life."
IM CRYING AGAIN BYE 😭 JL LOVES LWY SO MUCH THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO THE WORLD WHERE LWY DIDNT EXIST 😭
