Good plot, with an amazing sequel.
As I was bored with BL histories that follow similar plots, this one was really entertaining to me. It is one of these Japanese works that appear random at the first sight but is really engaging to watch.Even though the characters are portrayed with certain detail, it was not enough for me in the beginning. But I have to say that this changes a lot in "Mood Indigo". The thing is that people are complex and not unidimensional as we see in other plots. This drama gave me that. This season adds complexity to the plot and to the characters. It made it one of the best BL's I ever watched.
It has hot scenes but is not that much. It was a lot more natural than what happens in other BLs, where sex and sometimes even kisses are almost taboo. I liked the music. I loved the colors even more.

It is soooo great that I don't care for the bad parts
There are two features I don't like in this series.First, the song effects are really annoying at the beginning. The worst is the first episode, but these effects vanish at some point. If it is a problem for you (as it was for me), skip them.
Second, there are some unnecessarily long scenes. You may skip them too.
The thing is that these bad aspects are irrelevant since the good parts are really iconic. This series counts with some of the greatest moments from BLs. I strongly recommend anyone to watch it.
I'll detail some aspects below (don't read if you don't want SPOILERS).
- There is a moment where the main leads get out of the closet for their families. The approach for this subject is really good. I watched a lot of LGBTQ movies and series, and I found this perspective unique and touching.
- The heterosexual couple is really cool and charismatic.
- There is an older man and he is bisexual. That is really uncommon in BLs and it was very good too.
- We get to know more about the BL industry and about the fandom.
- The reunion of the main couple after a time skip is really touching. It was the most remarkable scene of the type that I have ever seen.
- That ending in the restaurant is iconic.

Loved. It's really good.
It gives a lot more complexity to the plot. It makes the characters denser than in "The Pornographer" and that is great. For sure is one of the most engaging BL's I ever watched (and I watched some). It was great to notice how the characters evolved along the time. My feelings were mixed in several circumstances, and that is very good. I fell in love with the characters, but I also was disgusted sometimes. It is cool, sad, hot, real, and a lot of other things. There are hot scenes and they are good. It's great to watch a drama that does not have the usual "resistance" to sex or even kiss scenes. This is simply natural, and I always found it weird how BL usually treats it.
Again, I loved the colors of this series.

Entertaining
Even though this drama follows a similar line from others, there are some new elements that add to the story. That made the series very entertaining for me, so I recommend it. My problem is that these elements should be better worked on, and I found them shallow.- First, there is an "almost rape" scene. I do have a huge problem with this type of scene, but I found it ok in this case. The problem is that nothing happens after this event. As in many Thai BL series, there are no discussions or implications about it. I did not find totally bad, but I found it shallow.
- Second, having really cool female characters is a good point. However, there is a clear misogynistic view of them.
- Third, there is an age gap for a couple. Again, I thought it was a good line but they could deepen this subject.
Summarizing - It is a light and entertaining BL, so I do recommend it. But do not expect a great story, it is too superficial for this.
