As for the emperor, I'm still stuck on how in the previous episodes he had the audacity to be like "I've walked this path before" and then be shocked at how the cp acted. You let lm visit him in jail and give him a merciful death when he killed so many people, tried to kill his brother, and tried to kill you TWICE!!! WTF.

I watched and saw the explanation but I was confused because he did all that goddess stuff even before stuff went down with the crown prince and the emperor got sick. But your additional explanations helped clarify some things so thank you.
I'm so confused...so is she still marrying yq to get away from mrjh because of what he revealed to her in the past episode? Also, why is yq now pretending like she didn't get assigned to be his crown princess due to him. He's telling her he'll do everything to give her freedom/not trap her in the position when she got the position in the first place due to him. He's manipulative.

Tbh, I like LXJ's villain character. It's interesting and the actor is doing a good job. Definitely different from novel him but an interesting change nonetheless. I was slightly annoyed before but then I remember someone pointing out that if they kept him the same, he'd be no different from the ml and that's true. That would make the show confusing. Anyway, I'm enjoying all the changes they made so far and enjoying the drama.
