ohh that makes sense. don't worry. the love interest isn't a focus at all. she has her own arc but beyond that, the main plot is all about trying to bring down big BAD. and it'll take forever to reach her arc too, which im not sure if they'll even cover in the drama. she's a cute character btw. very bubbly. MC is dense asf so there isn't any actual developments.

im aware of all this. ive watched the show. i was thinking of a possibility (theory) where S3 would delve into a loophole that was created by those organ harvesters (since they're doing this illegally), and that would be what helps the cops.
about the captain - the cop dude will most definitely put it together. the captain is overtly suspicious and it won't take long. i wouldn't be surprised if he's the one who would end up leading them to the island after they figure out he's involved with them.
the sniper lady isn't on the pink organ harvesters side, so there is a chance she would create another leeway being a variable. im pretty sure she wouldn't stay put.
as for MC, he will probably put together all the hints being dropped by 001 that he is a mole + his friend almost spilling tea on him. there was another dude who witnessed him murdering a player.
though it's dumb how he didn't find it sus that the old grandpa was no 001 last time, and he was with them. S3 is probably when he does
