My personal interpretation of this was - Tharn being young and triggering Type truma ( You never know what can trigger another person til its too late) , then it was never mentioned becase Type never wanted to speak of it ( Which i understand i can't ask other people about their trauma because i want to know or make myself feel better by apologizing) which i also way Tharn let Type hit him - he wanted to punish himself in rebound way. Also only person who could held Tharn accountable was Type. If people only acted within boundaries - we wouldn't need to have police or military forces in the first place.
Was it Toxic yes - did it become less toxic latter one - kinda - did it improve in second season - yes.

Then you will never enjoy any fantasy series - they have mages that can shot fire from their hands but still need to go to the toilet. One thing not nullify another.

I understand your point and support it but i have kinda another outlook - " "normalized it like something that should be expected, like it wasn’t really a problem at all" - it was first BL drama and yes every LQBT person need to brace themselves on this kind of comment, no every person will be straight homophobic of supportive. You also can't fight "against homophobia head on" - in countries like Thai because you will never win with existing law they have ( or Royal family), even in USA it's still a major problem - if you fought every person you would never do anything else in your life. Also most of these people never be punished - its sad and unfair but it's reality.
Hazing in sotus was also pretty tame - check articles about this topic - it's a longstanding tradition and reality for generation of Thai uni students.
Not like man, like you - I understand kinda and wish they didn't say it but for their protection, it was their first relationship so they probably didn't figure it out yet - some people are slow... like you can point them obvious face and they still don't get it.
My point is - I like Sotus because it didn't sugarcoat reality, it kinda showcased what was really happening. While some of newer BL are aimed so much for the international audience - they are taking place in Thai Utopia that don't exist.

It vastly two different matter - this is fluff that take place in LaLaLand. As the original commenter stated - " know they want to promote "talk" about equality and tolerance but in the book Lian friends were really supportive and kind"
This mean this realistic aspect wasn't part of the original story from the start

Because its brainless fluff for fluff sake - its difficult to treat it with common sense when most of story take place in LaLaLand

I liked it - yes it was toxic - but human are toxic as fu*k. Which made me like this drama more, because characters felt human to me and not like some cardboard cutoff.

For me it give more realistic feel, like let's not pretend homophobia isn't still a major issue. People still are getting bullied, fired from their jobs or even attacked over it. Showcasing it in series let audience realize with what crap LGBT people need to deal in everyday lives.

It was ML from orginal 2moon not sotus.... Kris once posted in not good temper that he was no gay - after being asking about it 100+ time which pissed some fans - so not sure which article you read but report it for spreading misinformation...

Exaggerated? You should check articles from 00 -10 about Thailand uni hazing - they were so bad it even made news in EU where Ilive.
In comparison, Sotus hazings are pretty tame, also ep 6 is kinda when we are entering the second phase of story.
